Why are girls' butts usually censored in anime and not boys' butts?

I am Japanese, and our anime has to be heavily censored when distributed in western countries. Each country has their own laws about what they consider "obscene material". The USA is more prudish than most people realize. Much of that comes from christian influence, especially the Catholic Church. As you know, Catholic priests are well known for molesting little altar boys, so they are more than fine with seeing a boy's butt. A girls naked butt is a scandalous sight and can cause men to sin in their hearts, so it has to be censored. 🙄. Even our children's anime shows like Pokemon have to be heavily censored to be shown in the USA, and it is petty, harmless things they censor. Years ago, the USA and the UN were pestering my government to create an anti-pornography law. The Japanese government finally made a law, but it basically is just a list of types of pornography that western countries find offensive, so it can not be distributed outside of Asia and they told the porn companies to pixilize the genitals of every porn movie distributed in the west. Every anime you see in the USA has been censored so as not to upset the prudes.

I have seen nude material from many countries. But it is only the Japanese porn that hides the genitals by pixelating them. None of the porn from other countries does that. It seems to me that the Japanese are more prudish because of the way they hide the genitals and other countries do not.

As I said, the pixilation was done because of complaints from western countries, mainly the USA. The porn I see is not pixilated. The USA still complains about the content of our pornography even after this censorship.

We can purchase it either way. I have seen both types for sale. The pixilated versions are for sale to foreigners and those under a certain age. I have an interesting collection of "Yuri" Movies (all female), and hentai that is pretty extreme. None of it is censored or pixilated in any way.

I don't know, Japan has a conflicting and strange take on censorship standards. Like, they're fine with 10 year old anime characters with fully developed DD breasts, but an anime depiction of a fully grown woman can't show her ass without covering it with light glares for "modesty". And they're totally fine with tentacle anime porn, but IRL vanilla sex on camera has to be blurred out below the waist.

From what I've seen, it depends on the Anime's Studio or sources.

Most Anime I've seen just leaves the butt hanging, without censorship. (I guess it makes sense, since EVERYBODY has one...)
