I think it's a societal thing, girls spend a lot more time working on their appearance and it's emphasised more in media. there's also more of an emphasis on girls covering up where you get a lot of things like dick pics going on from guys which tends to negatively impact on the perception of men and make women more mysterious and exposed cleavage/legs etc seem sexier and more enticing. guys can be incredibly sexy but it depends on attitude as much as appearance

I can see that. Women have more clothing that is designed to highlight, accentuate and show off their body. Men have virtually nothing. Women generally have more elaborate hair styles than men. Women have lingerie, men really don't. Women use makeup regularly, men really don't.

Therefore the female form (when not obese and lumpy) is slimline and sleek, it's visually pleasing in general. A fit female is like a Ferrari, a fit male is like a tank. We don't need to be as visually pleasing because women are not as stimulated by visuals but more by stature, power, etc.
