Why are girls so shy about guys seeing them naked?

Why are girls ok wearing swimsuits in public yet so shy about being seen naked?

Many women don't see things the way men do. Women are more self-conscious when it comes to their bodies. So, they believe that when they are 'fat'/ 'chubby' they are unattractive. And that takes a large toll on them. And, when they are skinny, they think they are fat… which also makes no sense to me.

Because most women don't see things the same way as men do. On top of that we'd be shunned for it as men aren't. I'd like to go almost anywhere without a shirt too but people can't control themselves and be accepting.

Because we don't just get naked for everyone. Swim suits are different cause we kinda gotta wear them if we wanna go swimming but between you and I, were SOOO self conscious as soon as we put that swim suit on!

Guys do not just get naked for everyone either. But if a woman sees me naked, I do not get that anxious about it. Girls seem to have a freak out factor.

Because it is more of a private thing, and some of us like to save that for the special ones. It could also be because some girls are self-conscious.

People are judgmental of others' naked body and nudity in general. Also, in our culture, nakedness attracts sexual attention, which many people don't want except from one specific person.

In nudist colonies and the like, none of that is true because nudity is the norm just like clothing is the norm outside of such places, so people of both genders are less shy about it.

I'm very self conscious of my body. I don't want anyone to see it because I'm afraid that they will judge me and/or be grossed out. Also, I don't wear swimsuits either.

Wouldn't anyone be self conscious? I mean, it's their body, but we don't want to go around showing it off. I would wait for the right guy or girl.
