Why are men such hypocrites when it comes to women's looks?

They all say they want a natural beauty but they all go over women who wear makeup, shave and even got plastic surgery. Someone was asking recently a question about body hair on women. Most guys thought it's gross. Men are hairy like a gorilla and think it's lazy, unclean and gross for a woman to look the way she was naturally meant to look. Women were hairy since the beginning of humanity, only recently when razor zompanies and porn rose it became an "unfeminine" thing. Also, most men would dislike the look of a tired woman or pimples. Let's be honest, when you have a busy schedule or spend a lot of time in front of a computer you get dark circles. Many things can trigger acne and if it appears it is hard to get rid of it. Nobody can look their best all the time. Makeup can help with problems like this. And this comes from a woman who shaves because she likes it and doesn't have acne or big dark circles. But if I ever forgot to shave and a guy commented on it I would let my hair grow just to annoy him. Let's not forget about harassment some qomen get on social media. Guys often feel the need to comment abou the size of a woman's boobs or ass. Thin women rarely have very big boobs or asses, it is common sense , but it seems a lot of people don't have it.

I know, we are pretty hypocritical but hear me out. When I say I'm interested in a woman with natural beauty, that doesn't necessarily mean a woman that never washes her face, brushes her hair, or takes care of herself. Natural means a woman that can make herself look good without make-up, lipstick, surgery etc. I personally don't care about a woman's boob or ass size, just as long as she takes care of herself well. Not everyone can be a natural handsome guy or beautiful girl, but if you're not there's still other ways you can win a guy over. I personally don't mind women with a bit of hair, just as long as you're not trying to grow a thriving habitat for bugs and lice. Dark circles around the eyes aren't that bad, I wouldn't reject a girl based on if her eyelids were dark or not, and even guys get acne so that's not much of a problem either. I don't like women with acne, but that's because I don't have it. I wash my face everyday to prevent that from happening. I'm sorry if it seems like we're assholes, but I promise you that it's a lot different outside of social media. Even I find it weird how people act on the internet, but sadly some people just use it to release their pent-up frustrations on other people anonymously in the safety of their own home. I'm sure there's much less people in the real world that talk about and compare human beings like objects as your last paragraph states. Some people just have really disgusting personalities.

Dude, i had acne in my life a lot. I used a lot of skincare and had a good cleanser. Acne can be hormonal, in fact it is hormonal for most people. And no, it's not the food you eat. Women in particular get acne when they are close to their period. I still get an ocasional pimple at that time of the month. Shaving has nothing to do with cleaness. If it does then men are dirtier than women because women shave more of their hair, right? Telling someone with acne to wash their face is very ignorant and disrespectful.

Because men have fantasies and want the women they meet in the real world to resemble those fantasies. As they mature guys realize that in reality while physical appearance plays a role in attraction it's only a part of the person sitting across from them. In addition I would say a minority of girls and a minority of guys make a lot of noise about wanting to date the perfect looking person but they don't speak for the majority.

It sounds like you equate natural with effortless. It's not quite the same. Making sure you get enough sleep to avoid bags under your eyes is natural. Grooming is natural - even chimps do it, albeit without razors, but we are "higher beings" after all. By the same metric, would you say brushing your teeth is unnatural?

If you want to attract someone, you have to groom yourself. Grooming isn't the same as applying a thick layer of warpaint on top of a fake tan. We like natural beauty - that doesn't mean a cave woman with dingleberries and all.

It's more double standard than hypocrisy, there is different things that people tend to expect from men and women. Also as far as I know, most women who are not a few hardcore feminists tend to be more judgmental to their own and to other women looks than men. While a women's looks is certainly important to most men, men tend to be less petty about it than women, women literally tend to be judgmental for almost any imperfection on a female body.

Do I like a woman who has hair everywhere? No, but I'm not accustomed to that either. That's not my fault. As far as makeup goes, I don't care for it. I saw what Kim Kardashian looked liked before surgery and she looked way better.

A lot of women have acne. Acne in itself is not attractive, but it's not something exclusive to women and it's not something I would look at and reject. I never have.

To me, a variety of things make a woman attractive and expecting women to all look a certain way is ridiculous.

I like natural beauty. I don't date girls who wear make up or have any plastic parts to them. As for shaving I like the feeling of smooth skin instead of hair, it's different and sensual compared to hair.

Women find hair on men masculine so why would we find it feminine?
