Girls, Why are so many more women LGBTQ than men?

Quite a few studies have shown that more women are LGBTQ+ than men.
Usually by a roughly 3 to 1 ratio. This includes the CDC's NHIS and YRBSS studies just as an example.

I was curious as a woman
what is your explanation for this?
why is it more prevalent in women than in men?

  I think its likely due to female sexuality being more fluid? I think I remember hearing it had something to do with biological evolution as well? something about lack of conflict between cowives? Though I think many here would say a major influence on it is how society and culture handle it. None the less, when it comes to studies on the LGBTQ+ community, I don't think there are many good ones. Many are very limited, usually to a few hundred people at most, and the questions tend to be very simplistic the CDC studies are by far the best one I've ever seen in its death.

  I never really looked into that but it would be interesting hmm But to give you an idea of how widespread it is Boise State had this study.. where they took women who identified as straight, and had their view other naked women over 50%+ of them were aroused sexually by it? This suggests that even a lot of women that identify as straight are sexually attracted to other women to some degree. That is insane! and could really change the statistics from things like the CDC studies.

Those studies are self-reported. Men probably just hide it more.

  Perhaps? But the same applies to women. Take for example the studies that show women are more likely to be attracted to the same sex, or open to the idea of experimentation. Even this Boise State study showed that over half of women that reported as being straight were sexually aroused by women. So perhaps a lot of women that identify as straight, are actually closely to bisexual?

  If a woman is attracted to other women, she’s not straight, no matter what word she uses to define herself. She would be bisexual at the very least.

  I would agree 100%. Yet, its shown that many women identify as straight, while still having attraction to women. Those very same CDC studies, also dig deeper by asking about attraction, sexual history, etc. The numbers tend to increase in both men and women (but women especially), when asked about personal attractions, and sexual history. its fascinating I think.

Because it's trendy. The same reason there are more female customers at Starbucks than males.

  You could be completely right about that. I think being LGBTQ+ in general is trendy. Lots of people claim some form of identity outside of "cisgendered" or "heterosexual" just to get a bit of prestige. id say you are correct that likely applies to some women who experiment with other women.

  Women are a sucker for trends. I think we are responsible for a lot of the changes in trends throughout the years. We can see young women dressing more provocatively and acting more proactively as being provocative is more accepted and even encouraged in pop culture. Look at MTV when they stopped hearing music videos and started hearing reality TV full time, I'm willing to bet that's also because of women who were tired of watching the same rap and rock videos. I'm sure if I sat here and thought about it I could come up with endless examples.

  I think the most ironic part is that the same women that influence trends are the same women that often preach that we shouldn't look at women as meat. So these women who dress sexually, and shake their asses tend to be the ones that say "Dont look at my ass you perv" haha its a bit confusing for us guys.

  Completely agree. The preach women's empowerment but they exploit themselves in order to be empowered. Like In my opinion a stripper, a prostitute, not someone to be admired, and their power over beta males doesn't necessarily show their power but shows the strength of weak men.

  I agree There are so many contradicting perspectives in culture today, that its difficult maneuver without causing some sort of people. as a guy, ill admit that I am absolutely turned on by a womans body I love the female body, its beautiful if a woman wants to show it to me I will gladly look but I also dont want that woman showing me her body and then saying im a pig because I looked.
