Most people's standards are based on what they can realistically get and/or what they think they can realistically get.
Women have high standards because they can go anywhere and they'll have guys trying to pick them up.
Some of them are delusional though. When they've got a whole bunch of guys kissing their ass they start to think that they're 10/10s, even though most of those guys are 5s. Maybe they do get some fairly attractive guys after them, but many guys will slum it if they only want casual sex.
So this 5/10 girl gets an 8/10 guy trying to fuck her and she thinks she's an 8/10. She doesn't understand why she can't keep them around. If she's especially deluded she thinks it's because she's too good for them or that she's "intimidating" or something.
For men with low standards they just don't get laid much so they'll take whatever they can get. These guys are also stupid. They could do things to elevate themselves and as a result get more/better women but they don't.
This is not true. If it was, no guys would be bangin girls. But that's not the case.
Men do care about women being attractive young not having kids or too many partner want them to do household work support their hobbies while they don't support women hobbies and because of it those women don't have time for themselves. some like dumb women who don't work and won't challenge them other want women who who will do 50/50 or pay more than them even if they earn more. and they also have preference for light skin and white women they hate dark skinned women. I rarely see women hating on dark skin men many prefer blonde.
also society want women to have low body count this is why they have higher standard for it.
but for relationship men have way way higher
Truth
The real question you need to ask is why don't more guys meet the minimum standards? The vast majority of women are perfectly content dating guys who have just 3 simple qualities.
1. Be respectful
2. Take care of yourself3. Be motivated. And somehow most guys tend to fail on the first point alone.
As a genralality , most guys today have a great disinterest with sharing any one of those three attributes with a woman. This isn't my story tho.

Men like white women the most, because white women have the brightest and most attractive faces. Although this is not true for black men though. A black man, if he is tall and has a clean, good-shaped face and body, can look very nice. Athletes are obvious examples.

I'm not sure if that's true. There's a certain super high tall order of male beauty pushed in the media. I don't think it's quite as intense, but it's at least comparable. It certainly isn't 'mindlessly low'
