Why aren't more people bisexual or homosexual?

To clarify, I am 100% heterosexual, but some things don't make sense. We don't really understand the other gender.

Yet if a girl dates a girl or guy dates a guy, they understand each other. They talk and process information the same way. Isn't that what we want, someone who can know what we want or feel like?

Sexually guys know what guys like and girls know what girls like. Wouldn't someone of the same gender know the best way to please us sexually?

It seems that it would be more beneficial for happiness to be with the same gender.

I do agree with you and there is some truth to that. Gay sex can be pleasurable as it’s easy to know what pleases the same sex. But the priority of sex is reproduction. That’s why sex exists and why most people are wired to like the opposite sex

Well then the guy will expect one back and you will understand that it's not only about who can do things better but what you need to do for them. As a hetero sexual man you don't want to give blowjobs period. Neither do you want to have anything to do with another guys dick in any other context either.

Natural selection. A predisposition to homosexuality makes it far less likely that the trait, if hereditary, gets passed on. A predisposition to bisexuality might make it slightly less likely that the trait gets passed on.

I see what you are saying, but sex about more than sensations, and also I'd argue that to me, vaginal sex is better than oral sex. I think overall the experience with a woman would almost always be better because women are much more exciting to me.
