Why can't we accept pubic hair?

I'm tired of shaving down there and risk bumps. Is pubic hair really that disgusting? Why are you staring at my crotch in public?

  • My girlfriend and I totally accept pubic hair. In fact, we prefer it.

She does not - and for that matter I do not - understand this mania for shaving.

My girlfriend likes natural. In fact, one time, thinking it was the fashion, I decided to surprise her and shaved everything. Armpits, chest hair, pubes, legs.

She was surprised all right. She hated it. She said it made me look like a little boy and made her feel like a child molester. As she so eloquently phrased it - "She wants a man who looks and smells like a man." Ouch!

Anyhow, it's okay with me. All that shaving was a lot of work. I grow a beard in the winter months but shave in the spring and go clean shaven in spring and summer. That is all the shaving I need. Besides, I am not comfortable with a razor that close to my manhood and the family jewels.

Besides, when she is feeling cutesy my girlfriend will refer to me as "her furry little bear." I actually like it and so furry little bear I am and furry little bear I shall remain.

As far as her pubic hair. I want her natural. To be a bit crude, seeing her pubic hair is a reminder, in a way, that she is sexually mature and can have babies - we have three, actually - and for me, I actually like the feel of her unshaved pubes on my face when I go down on her.

We both enjoy a kind of raw and animal kind of sex. Not in a BDSM kind of way, but in a natural way that gets down to our most base and instinctive nature. Her pubes helps get me that feeling as my body hair does it for her.

So far from not accepting pubic hair, for us it is an outright turn-on. A reminder of our animal natures and instinct to breed. Would not want to be without it on either of us.

  • I shaved mine before, but the way I see it, I shouldn't have to change for any girl, and I wouldn't expect her to either. If she wants to keep her pubic hair, I have no problem with that. I think it looks better anyway, and yeah, no one should be worried about looking there!

I think girls who shave it all off look weird. Most girls I've been with at least had some. My ex shaved hers off once and it made her look like a little girl. And then I would slip out when she was on top because it got too slippery.

I don't know how shaving off all pubes ever became a fad. It looks horrible on some girls!

  • There are loads of people who are not removing every inch of adult body hair. It's been this odd trend and some people think hair is "dirty" which is bizarre. No one thinks head hair is dirty, do they. Because, like all other body hair, you wash it when you bathe and VOILA!, it's clean.

The fact of the high maintenance of body shaving with hair bumps and I got infections because of ingrown hairs is why after trying it once or twice via waxing, I called the whole thing off. Who has the time and.. why? Because everyone is doing it?

I'm over useless trends, and this is one that has overstayed its welcome.

  • I never shave, for fears of ingrown hairs and rashes.

Society, or should I say porn, has told us for several years that shaving makes you clean and neat. There are still porn out there where women have pubic hair, but it seems rare now. There are no health benefits to shaving, it actually does more harm than good. It's simply for aesthetic purposes only.

I'll shave my armpits and legs, but never my pubes.

It's not disgusting at all, never has been. It's like I said, porn told us it was.

  • I do. I do not think the prepubescent kid look of a vulva is attractive.

    • Stupid argument!

  • Public?

    Then stop if your single!

I have a great razor stole my hubby's Philips one blade! No bumps or cuts!

    • Thats what I use

  • If you don't like shaving, don't do it. Trimming is often a good compromise if you're feeling self-conscious. Guys, and people in general, care less than you might think. If your partner has an issue with it then that's something to work out between you two, but otherwise it's safe to assume that few people actually have an opinion on it.

  • i always shave in the bath and even if you cut yourself it doesn't hurt and i seldom cut myself... a lot of guys don't like pubes getting stuck in their teeth... i've given many a blowjob where i got a pube or two stuck in my teeth.

  • I do understand why all women started going bald down there

And I believe cleaning is great but
A big ass Bush just totally turns me on and if it's clean I think it's beautiful I would much rather look at a woman with a big bush and with a bald p**** there's something just totally hot and sexy about it because it look like you're looking at a real woman and I love that I say if you know how to take care of it and keep it clean go for it I think it's beautiful thing

  • I've kept a full bush most of my life. Was a short period when I was into the shaving it all off and that became a maintenance pain in the ass and went back to not shaving

  • I've accepted my pubes. I think the itchy bumps and bleeding just isn't worth it. Keeping it trimmed is much easier too.

  • Shave or don't its your decision.

We go to clothing optional places and most people shave, wax or have been lazered, but not all.

Everyone is accepted regardless of how they groom.

  • I accept pubic hair's existence, then I shave it away.

  • I don't know where the whole shaving thing started. I think hair down there looks nice so I prefer to see hair.

  • As long as you keep your pubes clean and trimmed and all, ladies, feel free to have them. If a lady, especially with small breasts, doesn't have pubes, and looks young, I begin to have doubts about her age, and get uncomfortable with her advances. I've grown to expect to pubes on a lady. Assuming it gets far enough that she'd be letting me see her without pants in the first place. Which... is not often.

  • my grandfather said every girl had it when he was growing up and it wasn't trimmed or anything

    • Very true

    • so true! the 70’s beaver 🦫. the bearded clam

    • Why are you and your grandfather talking about girls pubic hair?

  • Nothing wrong with pubic hair. I stopped shaving years ago cause it's more healthy to keep it

  • The importance is cleanliness not so much the removal of hair but the maintenance and washing of it

  • a compromise is trimming short. and an issue is easier to clean and hygiene.

  • I think there are a lot of people who are fine with, or even prefer pubic hair. I just don't like body hair on myself. My guy can have body hair, though a little grooming is preferred. Doesn't have to be gone completely, just trimmed is nice.

  • I am a nudist so I have seen 1000s of people's pubic hair (male and female). It is gross when someone has it. Get yours lasered off and it won't grow back.

    • didn't know there was a permanent way of getting rid of the bush.

    • @Luopio27 yes, if you get it lasered off. Lots of people are doing it.

    • Only laser thing on pussy I heard of was laser tightening the pussy. Those were the plans of Mia Malkova the porn star.

  • It's not a problem for me.

  • I prefer a girl to be shaved or waxed but if she has some hair it’s not going to stop me from waning her , if she keeps it trimmed that’s
Perfectly fine as well , I just prefer going down on a girl that doesn’t have a lot of hair down there , Hair in the mouth doesn’t feel to good lol

  • Because it's why you smell like an uncleaned urinal.

One of the purposes of pubic hair is to "catch" dirt and sweat in closed up regions. Hence why you have to shave it off after a while.

    • Shaving and trimming are different. And we wash.

    • Uhh what.. yes it does catch dirt and all but you can wash it right? Shaving isn't really necessary, and it's probably a fairly new behavior that's only been around for maybe 150 years, maybe.
