Why didn't you and your partner get HIV and STD tested before starting to have sex? (This question isfor those who didn't get tested before doing)?

If you have any STDs before becoming sexually active, you'd know. So since we were both virgins and knew we didn't have any, there was no point. If I ever date someone else, I wouldn't need the test, because my current girlfriend would have been my only other sexual partner and she's clean.

Not necessarily... asymptomatic... why do you think everyone will know? Also... if it is early infection, stages haven't set on and you happen ti have sex then, what about that?

I'm talking about if you were born with them. The symptoms would appear sometime before you have sex unless you are sexually active before 15. They probably would earlier too, but definitely by age 15, if you have any that you inherited.

The odds of contracting an STD if you've had zero sexual activity are miniscule. However, it is possible, for example, to have kissed someone with an open herpes sore (in their mouth or on it) and contracted the virus which could go dormant and be asymptomatic. I've heard people say "oh, that's just a cold sore" and think nothing of it. I had a girl get really pissed at me because she wanted to make out with one and I refused, telling me it was just a fever blister. Unfortunately, whatever you call it, they're all a herpes sore, and you're contagious when they're present. Most go away untreated or with meds, sometimes returning, sometimes never again. But even if it doesn't come back, if you've had a cold sore, you have the herpes virus inside you. That's why adults get shingles vaccinations now, because that's also a type of herpes virus. Remember too, that once you DO start being active sexually, you CAN get any number of STD's and be asymptomatic or mistake their symptoms for something else because they were mild.

The main point is - better to err on the side of caution. A canker sore may not be herpes, but any sore on or in the mouth, open or otherwise, should be a stop sign for oral sex or kissing. I'm sure you agree, yes?

The first guy and i were just dumb. I was 15 and so lucky that he was clean especially since he kept sneaking off the condom. Because that mf cheated on me with half the neighborhood (yet he used condoms with them). With the second guy i made sure we got tested before. There have been others in which we got tested just in case sex happened but i have willpower so it was basically a test for nothing because the relationship didn't last the length i need it to to lie down with someone

Didn’t have many partners before them or me and no issues there and did use protection first, no one has tested before having sex but also had no long history of partners, I did test a few years just to see and didn’t have anything, I’ve only been with 6 women in my life so far
