Please tell me not all guys are like this… is social media just ruining everything? I met this guy who has struggled with a porn addiction, we grew up together and he told me how he’s felt alone these past few years, and girls have ghosted him, lead him on etc and I’ve been super sincere, kind, caring toward him but he wants nothing to do with me yet he is flirting with girls on twitter who sell their body. What’s wrong with this generation? Love is lost?

You were dealing with a guy who was NOT serious about having a serious relationship - he was just looking for sex. If you choose that kind of a guy, you shouldn't be surprised to find that he's just looking for sex.

There are plenty of guys who are looking for relationships, but almost none of them are going to be the most attractive guys - those guys virtually always ONLY use girls for sex, and yet they have an unending line of girls waiting their turn.

"Relationship men" tend to be more average, but they're serious about relationships, and tend to know what's expected of them, and what they expect from her, in that relationship. They tend to have good morals and values. But they aren't the hottest guys, or the most successful guys, and they're generally not Bad Boys, so they aren't "exciting" - they're reliable and predictable - which means most women think they're boring.

You aren't going to get a guy with good long-term potential if you choose a guy based on short-term concerns, like looks or popularity.

I agree with almost all replies that not all guys are like what you wrote.

We're just like you, can feel hurt and vengeful because we too are flesh and blood.

And yes, we could be guilty of hurting others during our young foolish days. But at a certain stage of our lives, we also want to settle down.

Hence, you may want to look at guys who are more mature in age and emotions. After we've sow enough wild oats, we also wish to enter a loving relationship and start a family. I think this is the group of guys you need to look out for.

Sounds like you're in a friendzone situation. Women do it to guys all the time. They cry and bitch and complain say that want a good guy but yet the good guy is standing in front of them the whole time and they just blow him off. But then they flirt with the douche bags and womanizers then cry bitch and complain when they get cheated on or abused.
