Why do guys get hard when in swimsuit. isn't the water supposed to shrink it?

Shrinkage is mostly to do with getting cold not wet.

It's just more obvious when a guy gets hard in swimming trunks because there are less layers of clothes to hide it, and well we can't opt to tuck it behind the waste band because if we did he'd be popping out the top of our trunks.

You cannot compare the two. Women are wired differently. Guys at a young age have very little control over what happens to the little general. It is very difficult to keep an erection from happening. Esp at younger ages, many times there is nothing you can do to stop it. Shit, even at 54 it happens from time to time even on me. Now what he could have controlled was not looking at the tits that got him hard to start with. But if there are women all over, even that can be difficult.

It's not water that makes it shrink, it's the temperature. But even when it's cold, it can get hard normally when we're aroused.
