Why do guys hate using condoms?

I'm a single woman, 27 years old. Total hysterectomy at 25 so I cannot have children. I do however have a lot of casual sex. My concern is with HIV and STD's, not kids. Every single guy I've had sex with does not want to use a condom. They either complain about it, get soft during sex while wearing one or just flat out won't have sex at all unless it's raw. I hate condoms as well. The taste, smell, feels like I'm fucking a dildo but I'd rather not risk my health and won't back down. Why are so many men willing to risk their lives for pleasure?

Every girl I know hates condoms, too. It's not about men, it's just that people hate them, for all the reasons you list. For most guys, they make sex hard or even impossible. If you wanted to have sex with a piece of rubber, there was no need for the other person to be there. So for some guys, it's literally the difference between getting to have sex and not getting to.

For some rare people, like me, I actually prefer them, it helps rather than hinders, but it's not the norm.

Plus, one of the biggest pleasures during sex for a guy is cumming inside a woman. And many women say their top thing that they want is to be cum inside of. Condoms stop that. That's a big deal.

Now weigh that against a risk. Yes, HIV is a real risk, but a tiny one. Most people don't get exposed to that. Most people don't have "that many" partners. Most people can't gauge risks very well. And most people know that just kissing puts them at some risk already. Put it all together, and while we know that protection is important, it's pretty easy to see why people are willing to take some risks to get pleasure.

It's no different than skydiving or driving too fast. It's risky, but people like it enough to do it anyway.

I live in a city with one of the nation's highest HIV rate. While the virus is weak it doesn't mean it is not easy to catch. While the odds of cathing HIV are 1 in 900, 1 in 7 have HIV and are not aware of it. That in itself is too much of a risk compare to 21/3,000,000 dying from sky diving and 1 in 646 in a car crash.

That's WAY off. US population is 325m. HIV infection rate nationwide is 1.1m. That's.3% - POINT three percent, or 1 out of every 320 people, has HIV. While still scary and being careful is a must, your statistics aren't even close.

I see what you are say. .3% of Americans have HIV. Of that.3% (or 1.1. m) 6 out of every 7 of them are aware that they have it, and one out of 7 does not. So 157K Americans are HIV positive without knowing it, around.04% of the population.

I actually think that having the stats on HIV is bad. If you are straight, and from the north or west (most people are) then the stats basically tell you that there is no risk. The HIV numbers in America are so ridiculously tiny that we risk people seeing the stats and saying "that's like hitting the lottery unlikely to affect me" and not wearing condoms BECAUSE they saw the statistics. It's better to talk about how bad something like HIV is, but ignore the risk numbers, or focus on other, way more common (but less deadly) STDs that you'd want to avoid. Statistically for straight non-southern Americans, HIV goes off of the radar. Which is amazing, really, considering how desensitized we are to it even before seeing the stats.

Well that's easy for a woman to say because it makes no difference in your sensitivity or what you feel. It makes a huge difference to men. I hate condoms.

Women can tell a big difference between condoms and bareback. For me it feels like you're having sex with a dildo, less sensation, I dry up faster and can't maintain wetness or feel it myself but not risking HIV

I'm not sure that I'm convinced that men are less likely to request condoms. The difference is that guys usually "just put them on" and girls have to say "hey, put on a condom." This might give girls the impression that they always have to ask, because they equally tell guys who are trying not to, and guys who were just going to use one, the same thing.
