Why do guys like girls who dress more revealing?

There's nothing wrong don't get me wrong, I'm just genuinely curious. Do guys ever go for more clothed up women or women who wear revealing clothes? Why do they oogle over them?

The primary way in which men are sexually aroused is by looking visually at a woman's physical body.

Women have told me that arousal for them is much more complicated, and involves many factors. Well imagine if you had only one factor, and that one factor was looking at a woman's breasts and vagina. (In reality, men have two factors, because being touched on their sexual parts is also sexually arousing.)

With the above said, men fall into two camps when it comes to how they want their girlfriends to dress, and both have negative aspects to them. The first type of guy wants a woman who dresses scantily only for him: since her body turns him on, he doesn't want any other man to be turned on by her body, so he prefers her to be covered up in public. In a sense, he views her dressing in a revealing manner to be cheating, since she's causing other men to feel in a sexual way about her; and as such, he isn't attracted to her. I should point out that this man will absolutely be turned on by seeing her revealed parts, as that's a natural consequence of seeing a half-naked girl; but he won't pursue her seriously.

The other camp is the men who want their girlfriends to dress in a way that is very revealing. These men want every man walking down the street to stare at his girl, because he wants to arouse their jealously. He deliberately wants to cause a sexual response in each passing stranger, and then leave them unfulfilled. This type of guy would absolutely go for a girl who is wearing revealing clothing, since she's already dressing the way he wants his girl to dress.

So it's actually a bit more complicated than your question suggests. If a girl dresses in a revealing manner, it will turn on almost any guy. But guys aren't going to like a girl just because she turns him on--they can get turned on by almost any girl. Whether a guy likes a girl or not will depend on what he values, and whether she matches them or not.

Men are drawn to the female body as women are drawn to the male body. Men are much more visual so more skin is naturally more attractive.

Its just part of being human, for the why part of your question. Females do it too. there's a good looking guy out with his shirt off I will guarantee that guy is being admired. Girls are just less likely to make it obvious. Im married at I can't help but look. I dont eye rape but a quick once over doesn't hurt. Lol
Most guys are more likely to notice someone if there's a lot of skin but usually have the wrong intentions but guys in relationships would rather his girlfriend not showing off her body too much. (From my experience)

Nope not necessarily. I dress very down when im outside. Plain tshirt and leggings and I get guys trying to talk to me versus females who are wearing booty shorts and showing a lot of skin. Not every man is into females who dress revealing, and the females who dress revealing tend to get men who just want to sleep with them anyways. Its nothing to be jealous over. Nothing more sexier than a female who is naturally pretty and doesn't have to do to much to keep a guy interested.

Because humans are hardwired to be attracted to the other sex to have sex (ie. reproduce). I mean, the whole reason why women even have breasts and a curvy hip:waist ratio is very closely related to reproduction and whether or not they're old enough to fall pregnant.

So you can think of girls showing cleavage or tight clothing that shows off their curves as a form of modern-day presenting to potential mates.

Sure, the first girl's clothing (if you can call it that) leaves nothing to the imagination, whereas the second girl's outfit makes everything a complete mystery. But the trouble with leaving everything to the imagination is that men tend to be realists, not idealists- and we're far likelier to expect the worst.

This is very likely to be subjective for every man, but I believe that there is a great balence. I personally enjoy sleeveless, kneee-low dresses, I think women who wear such or similar are immediately very attractive. Of course, dress doesn't have as much merit as a face.
