Why do guys like (or want to do) anal sex?

This isn't relevant to anything in my life, but I just want to know why some guys really want to do anal? Like, do they not understand that, that's where people LITERALLY shit from? I'm so confused about it. Plus I don't understand why some women even suggest it. Would they even feel pleasure from doing that? I just think it would be SUPER gross and want to understand why some people want to do that.
