There's definitely more to it than masturbation, but I get your point. But depends on the person. I think for certain people that need more intimacy with their sex, it is fairly unsatisfying

Well… it’s a lot better than masturbating even when it’s meaningless, but I get your point. Sex *with* love is really the ultimate experience. At least since my late teens, a close personal relationship has definitely been a prerequisite.
