Why do guys talk dirty to female friends?

My good guy friend and I talk about everything but lately he's been telling me details about his sex life and talking more sexually in general. Lately he's a been complaining a lot about how bored he is with his gf of over a year and he feels stuck with her. Today we messaged for the first time in three days and his response to my message saying there was a Greek festival in town was "SUCK MY DICK! I'M GERMAN!". Obviously I know this and he could have answered me in a million other ways, so... am I reading into this too much? Was this some sort of lame flirt? We do say suggestive things sometimes but they're always things that could also seem harmless, never so out there. I was kind of shocked and thought about asking if he was serious just to mess with him but I just said that I was pretty sure baklava tastes better. The he said he's been told before that he's pretty sweet! Help please!

  Well we joke a lot but he's NEVER said anything that direct before, that's all. It used to be more stuff likes"your mom" but now things are more suggestive. He thought I needed to know what kind of condoms he uses and where he keeps them and his lube. Is that normal friend talk? I've never said anything like that to him.

  for it to be banter i guess you both would have to be suggestive in the convosation towards sexual things like that. like if i say stuff like how big my cock is, she says she would wanna see it at some point. but if its just like him saying stuff like that and you just say nothing to encourage that kind of talk. i guess he is trying to come on to you alittle.

  Last night when we were messaging ( for 7 hrs!) he told me he's going camping with his gf and dad this weekend. I asked if he and gf were going to share a tent and he saiid yes but made it clear to me that she was on her period so there would be no sex. I told him I had read about how some women want period sex and he said he'd read that too. Then he asked me if I wanted that but then typed don't answer that! I just said that I fear nothing so he'd get the idea. I still can't understand WHY he tells ME this stuff? Why do I want to know if they're screwing or not ( if we are just friends, as he claims). Why does he ask me if I want period ( or any kind of) sex? I almost typed back "you mean, with you?" just to freak him out. He assured me there would be no sex regardless. Is this a normal way for platonic opp sex friends to interact? I have other guy friends and we talk about music, the news, tv shows, sports, etc. We don't message, just fb comment and we never talk about sex.

  no thats not normal, assuring you that there's gna be no sex means he doesn't want you to get the idea of him having sex with somebody else. thats way beyond friend ship if ya ask me. i mean, me n my friend we banter n have sex with other people, like we talk about our sexual experiences n joke that we will do that to each other but e both know its just banter which is why we can joke. but we never assure each other e arnt aving sex because there's no need too. i dno why he'd say that tbh its not normal though in my opinion thnx for MHO

  thanks! things are getting weirder with us. we're messaging at all hours and constantly. I already feel like we're in bed together since we message until 3 and then again next morning. he told me today he jogged past my house at 5am and wanted to ring my doorbell (double meaning? booty call?) He tells me about his day... in real time! I haven't seen him in two weeks but it's going to be crazy in two more weeks when we have one class every day together and maybe lunch. We were friendly before but things have really deepened over the summer. I feel like we are basically as emotionally intimate as lovers w/o sex. We just had a big fight bc I got mad that he plays games ( or phones gf) while message ing with me. He explained that he doesn't care what I do while we message and it doesn't make him feel cheated if I have other things to do and instead, he feels more special because I take time to stop doing whatever to respond to him. BS or a valid point?
