Why do I have such a high sex drive?

I am 48 years old... and I have such a high sex drive. Sometimes I think there is something wrong with me. I was with a friends with benefits a couple of weeks ago and we ended up having sex 6 times during the night. He is younger than me. I am scared that if I find an older man he won't be able to keep up with me. Right now I am talking to a man that is 58. What if I go out with him and really like him and we aren't sexually compatible? I dont want to base a relationship on sex.

I think its great and I am sure you will find someone to match your sex drive. In addition, maybe you had sex six times because you haven't had it for awhile before? Have you always been this horny, or has it intensified during the later years? Maybe you're a late bloomer ;)

Not this strong... but when I hit 40, it just went into overdrive. I guess I enjoy it more because I know my body better.

Ok, how can you say "I don't want to base a relationship on sex" but your only concern with this older guy is that he won't be sexually compatible? You're basing the potential relationship on sex before it even begins.

Because I dont want to throw away something good just because we aren't sexually compatible. I am just wondering if something is wrong with me having such a high sex drive.

No. But you have to understand that not everyone - regardless of age - is having sex 6 times a night. Every night. And you know you couldn't handle that frequency on a regular basis.

No there isn't anything wrong with you. I never implied that. I'm saying that you know the reality is you couldn't keep that intensity up every single day. I'm not saying 6 times a night is bad, but unreaslistic if you have a job/kids/anything other to do besides sex.

I know having sex 6 times a day is unrealistic. But I do want it everyday.

You shouldn't be worried about this issue! Embrace it! If you like the guy, there are things to help you become more compatible.

Thank you... but I think that is just a myth. If it were true... all the women my age that had no sex drive, their husbands would be feeding them those types of foods.
