Why do men say they like lingerie when they actually dont? ?

So every relationship I've been in, all of them stated they love when a woman wears lingerie. Well that has proven to be false. Why say you like something when you don't? (Not saying all men just to the ones who do this) I have low self esteem and dressing up really helps me feel better about myself and be more confident. I try super hard to please my man in bed. I pay attention to his responses, his breathing everything. I just wish he'd be more responsive if I wear lingerie because he said he loved it. I'm also very self conscious so I make sure to keep my makeup and hair done and hide what I want to surprise him with in the bathroom. Now I can take a few minutes to put things on and he gets impatient. But I wish he'd be patient with me as I am with him. My feelings get kinda hurt if he gets annoyed with me and says he's going to bed while I'm standing there trying to be sexy.

  • It's because some men are obsessed with feminity. Lingerie is feminine. Lingerie is linked to confidence. However, it's always the women who wear lingerie that are insecure. "They want to PLEASE their man" "They TRY to be sexy for their man" See where I'm going? Honestly, it's the woman who wear a big tee shirt and boy shorts to bed and sex who are the most secure. Well, how do I know? it's because based on my experience. I remember this one girl I dated. She was very insecure. She always worried about her weight and just winning about it. However, she always tried to be sexy in the bedroom and outside. Wearing stockings and heels and lipstick during sex etc. Mind you it was great but she only seemed semi-confident when she was wearing lingerie in the bedroom. This other girl I dated was the opposite. She was comfortable around me and she was never insecure. During sex and to bed she didn't wear anything sexy and she was amazing! I remember I told her that most women want to be sexy in bed for their partners and she told me flat out "Im going to bed not shooting a porno. so if that's what you want, there are some hookers around the neighborhood" lol. Lingerie isn't necessary because we take it off anyways lol. Most men wouldn't even remember the color of lingerie after y'all are done.

  • Some men may feel that way. I have always liked a woman to wear stockings, i. e. stocking with a garter belt, or pantyhose, thigh highs, or hip highs. For whatever, reason they are always been a hot button for me, probably because hose of some kind do enhance the way the legs, and lower body (pantyhose) look, shapelier, skin tone etc. Not sure why they are not considered 'sexy' at this point in time, but in my teens and twenties, nothing was hotter. I even had sex with a girl in her late teens with her pantyhose on, (slit the crotch before hand)

Lingerie, per se, is really not a hot thing for me, unless it applies to thong, or very brief bikini underwear.

Rather than get a critique from others, just marked "no replies' from others.

  • I completely get it. It takes time to get some of the sexier lingerie on and when your man is horny he is impatient for sure. I know I have limited experience when it comes to this but what I usually do in those planned out scenarios is try to have my lingerie on underneath like a dress if possible. That way all I have to do is touch up my makeup and take off the dress. But you are absolutely correct about men not being as understand and responsive.

  • My husband doesn't like lingerie. He says it looks cheap and makes women look bad, like a fluzzy (sp?). Any he perfers me to just be nude, so thats what I do. Works for us.

  • I think they like it... they like to take it off 🤣

    • Woman: honney do you like my new panty? Man: yes, i love it... now take it off

    • @IknowthatIdontKnow09 🤣😂

    • @IknowthatIdontKnow09 its like y'all want the same present in different gift wrapping

  • It is a waste of time to get dressed up for sex especially since guys just don't care or even notice

  • Hmmm... I must be a bit weird then, bc I look for anyway the lingerie can stay on. Obviously, I don't want to stretch something pulling it to the side, but lingerie to me is like the icing on the cake. It gives that sexy as hell vibe so why remove it prematurely?

  • Are you running a census office? Because you need several thousand people to be statistically correct. Personally, I think lingerie is awesome and I wish more girls would buy and wear them.

    • It would be uncomfortable for the woman when dressed for normal wear and it would not be visible to you. It would only be visible to you if she did not have anything over it. You would only be able to see it in a private situation.

  • I know I like it. I also love just a bra and panties. Super sexy.

  • I LOVE lingerie! But it has to be the right kind. Different bodies look best in different style and colors. My wife looks best in white thigh highs with garters and a g-string and nothing on top. Previous girlfriends looked great in different outfits. You just have to realize that the outfit will be tossed on the floor within 15 minutes!

  • I like lingerie too but it depends on the body and model as others have said. However I prefer to see leather leggings on a woman

  • @dizzydesii said it perfectly. We guys like lingerie... when it doesn't stay on for long

  • I think when you say lingerie you mean sexy undergarments like thongs and g-strings... i dont like thongs

  • I like it a lot, toss on a pair of cute shoes (not the kind that the strippers wear) and that works just fine for me.
You will have mine and Mr. Happy's full attention.

  • I love a woman in lingerie. I like to buy lingerie for the women that I have been with.

  • I like it. If a guy is impatient while you are going to all that trouble, he should find himself someone else to whine to while you find someone who appreciates you and all you do.

  • The point of the clothing is to take it off... I'm not sure that I understand the question you're asking.

What's the point of wrapping paper when it prevents you from knowing the gift it covers?

    • Of course. This seemed so obvious to me. The fun is in the unwrapping!

  • I'm not sure I understand. Your description doesn't give me the impression that he doesn't like lingerie. Sounds like it's a patience issue. Not lingerie.

I love lingerie on girls by the way.

  • Lingerie is pointless. They ask you to wear it, then can't wait for you to take it off. Why bother?

  • Clothing that is revealing, is more attractive than unrevealing clothing, but less attractive than being naked.

It's better to just be naked.

  • You could stand and be sexy as long as you want- I certainly wouldn't mind!

  • Wow you sound amazing and are def with the wrong guys. That is such a turn on beyond belief to me. I’m the complete opposite. I love to buy my woman sexy lingerie sets and crotchless lacy panties, and make love to her in them!

  • I can't speak for them but I can speak for me. Lingerie is sexy and I love it. Most of them anyway.

  • it’s about making a good first impression and getting sexy.. but of course they want you to take it off..
