Even on sites and clubs specifically dedicated to fetish, men far outnumber women. Women aren’t slut shamed when they have anonymity and have sought the space to be open about their fetish so I don’t believe it’s *only* that they are shy or worried about their reputation in that scene

  • Men are more vocal about it. Maybe it is also because men are more cerebral than women too. There are some really strange fetishes out there, but then, I think their preferences or curiosity is a "fetish" when it actually isn't. a true fetish is one where a person requires a certain unconventional act or condition to get off OR is highly aroused by said act or condition.

With that in mind, I don't have any true fetishes. Sure I have some preferences like I am really attracted to cute feet and hands, but that doesn't mean I "get off" to them. I like my prostate messaged, but I wouldn't consider that a fetish because I don't actually require it to get off and don't fantasize about being pegged or stimulated that way. I know I'd be turned on by a woman who is willing to try butt stuff (toys, tongue, fingers, etc.) both giving and receiving, but once again, I don't need it and could probably be fine never experiencing it, although I am curious and would prefer a woman who is open to it.

Same thing with different positions. If the sex is good in missionary and we are into each other, I would theoretically be fine without having to switch it up. I would have no problem performing, it wouldn't be like I couldn't get aroused unless we switched things up. On the other hand, I would greatly prefer all types of positions, spontaneity, oral, and other fun variations because it keeps sex interesting.

Check out this Reddit post. Pretty interesting the different fetishes that are most common for each sex. www.reddit.com/.../

  • Numerous clinicians have concluded that paraphilias are more common among men than they are among women, largely because it is rare for women to visit psychiatrists and psychologists for problems associated with unusual sexual interests. However, there has been very little research to date on paraphilias outside of clinical contexts that shed light on the nature of this sex difference. As a result, it is unclear if men in general open to more unusual sexual interests and, if so, why. A new study published in Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment sought to provide the answer.

  • I think women are conditioned to not be as open with talking about their fetishes. I think women have just as many, we just don't talk about it as much. Even with our female friends. Guys are often encouraged socially to do so, women aren't. Yet every woman I know has some sort of fetish that breaks the norm - I know I do

  • It seems to me that women can find any passionate sexual activity arousing, whereas men focus more on the object or part of something/someone. I think this has to do with the fact that women are more turned on emotionally and men are more turned on visually.

  • In many ways women view sex in general differently than men. I think those differences promote more fetish interest with men.

  • I think it's more so that men are more vocal about them. Women are slut shamed, so there's probably a smaller portion who are open about it.

    • True!

    • Fetishes don't make you a slut unless It's only if you do it with a lot of guys, kinky or not, and don't take yourself or relationships seriously

  • Men seem to like to push the limits a lot more than girls do.

Once they try something it can get boring and they want something new and exciting

  • Exposure to sexual behavior can come into play a lot, more curious children are more likely to find themselves falling down the rabbit hole. A lot of fetishes also come from traumas or memorable experiences.

    • Women are also overall more private

  • On the contrary. Throughout history women have been told not to be the sexually open. Even in today's view, I would think that it's JUST starting to be a tinny bit more acceptable for women to voice their deepest, naughtiest sexual desires. Kink and fetishes are that much more taboo, since it delves into the not so, let's say, "norms" of sexual desires. Society still isn't fully ready to hear that women get turned on sexually by feet, or assholes, or leather. Even amongst men, it's still pretty taboo to talk about depending on the fetish. Most reac negatively and see that person as a freak of nature or something medically wrong with them. Put that on a woman who has her a lot of her character judged on if she is sexually "proper", even anonymously, women would still fear being caught.

  • I'd probably say men are more exposed to Porn a lot more than women. They would have more time to see what they enjoy or dislike in a sexual sense with kinks and fetishes.

  • I hear more about women who into weird stuff then men, in women's case it's clearly looks like an compensation for being less sexual in general.

  • Testosterone. 👌

  • It feels to me that the difference is men are far more prone to wanting their fantasies to become realities.

Women seem more prone to having fantasies that they don't want to make real, whereas men get taken over by theirs to a greater extent.

It's very evident in here that men are far more likely to have foot fetishes, as but one example, than women are.

    Interesting question...

  • Well technically everything is a fetish so I don't think that's true. I'd also say it's probably more that men are either more open about their fetishes or more men are searching for their fetishes than women, as opposed to women having less fetishes.

  • dont know if thats really true.

  • Maybe because men are more sexually driven than women's

  • I wouldn't know if it's true or not. Perhaps men are just more vocal about their and there is more shaming of female sexuality in society.

I dont really have a "fetish" but my ex girlfriend was into BDSM and BDSM parties. She even went to sex conventions.

Me? I just have a "type" of lady. I like dark hair, BBW, and I love a lady with glasses.

  • I suspect that it involves at least two issues. The first is that men (on average) have a higher sex drive than women, and it is the sex drive that fuels fetishes. The second issue is that (possibly in part due to the higher sex drive) guys seem to "imprint" sexually, based on early experiences.

  • I think that is false I think women do they just tell everyone because they don't want people to judge them on how wild it may be.

  • Because they are pricks

    • Someone's butt hurt

    • Loool

    • Lol. Who hurt you.

  • I think it has a lot to do with repression. Guys have a lot more problems getting sex, so they have a tendency to find things sexy as a response. It also might be because of the nature of the fact that guys see sexy, while women think sexy. Men's visual cortex is tied directly to their centers for pleasure (https://www. psychologytoday. com/blog/evolution-the-self/201205/the-triggers-sexual-desire-men-vs-women) so sex is tied to images rather then thought so it's easier to find things sexy. I give you as an example flutterers those who find fluttering cloth arousing think a skirt fluttering around a woman's leg. But any fluttering cloth will do, it is obviously a kink that has deep psychological roots, and probably develops as a result of adolescent desire tied to the first image, but it is the image that sticks with him.

  • I just think Men are just cut out to have fetishes
They have the Testosterone so that's why they
have fetishes so i blame it more on hormones.

  • They dont. Men are just more open about sex. Women are more secretive about their sex lives

  • Am pretty sure women have their own kinky fetishes and just that they really don't feel like telling it out.. And porn sites are more targeted to the men. So that's there. Unless a female stays a porn site, women 's fetishes are going to be a mystery

  • I think women are just quieter about theirs, or haven't explored enough to discover them. It took me six months to coax my ex gf's fantasies out of her, and she was terrified I would judge her. Instead I helped her explore them. It was fun
