I don’t think “people” are…. I think that there is a subset of pedophiles who genuinely believe that if they re-brand themselves as MAPs (Minor Attracted Persons) that they can get in on the current political power that the LGBTQAAIP+ community has been fighting for since the Stonewall incident of the 1970’s! Hey why do the hard work for 50 years, if you can just glom onto the LGBTQ+ through sheer force of will. I doubt it will work, the old “homosexuals are after your children” trope is still a really painful (and false) part of the history of the gay community! Statistics clearly show that heterosexuals are by FAR the greatest number of child sexual predators!

Well I wonder how you can't see why they are correlated by looking at your own screenshot. The question was about conducting LGBT activities in school.

Now if you're talking about pre-teen kids, I find it inappropriate. Sex ed is for later, and LGBT activities can come along as a part of discussion on sexuality. I don't think its appropriate before that.
Before that, I would agree with the comments calling the people who wanna do out as questionable at best. It doesn't mean gay = pedo. It means going off to teach small kids about sexuality = pedo.

Okay, first understand that I was raped iaroung 3pm on my 13th birthday, meaning if I was raped just 15hrs earlier, I would have been a pre-teen. Second, I got my period when I was 11, so saying the NO preteen should learn sex education, is absolutely ridiculous! If you want to know terror, try getting your period when your parents decided you weren’t ready for sex-ed, and that THEY would teach you… but they didn't because you were “too young”? THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED to a girl at my middle school. I was one of the girls who heard the scream from the bathroom! It literally sounded like someone was dying. When we got in there she had put her hands between her legs to try to stop the bleeding because she “saw it in a movie” she was screaming that she was dying! So please do NOT give ME that “No preteens need sex education” bullshit! Second, you are as bad as the “Don’t Say Gay” people with your ignorance on the Florida Law. I live in Florida, the Law makes it illegal to talk about:
1) sexuality,
2) gender IDENTIFICATION
3) sexual preference
To children in K, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grades! That’s it! Ages 5 through 8. It has NOTHING to do with gay people, in-fact the word “gay” isn’t even in the law! So I still stand by it, I think the discussion about sexuality should be kept for the start of the teen years, not before. Lastly, I don't say or imply LGBT are more likely to be pedo. So calling me a bigot for something I never said is kinda stupid. I don't support adults teaching 8 year olds about sexuality same sex or hetero, doesn't matter. It's creepy, period. And I also don't think that there is a lesser proportion of LGBT who are pedophiles, there's less of them numerically because there's less LGBT people, but I imagine the proportions are roughly the same.

Because they're stupid or lack of knowledge. They clearly don't know the difference between being attracted to the adults of the same gender vs being attracted to kids. They assume that paedophiles are gay men attracted to kids. They don't think think or want to believe that some women are also paedophiles. This is why many parents gets uncomfortable/suspicious at the sight of a man who happens to be a stranger sitting alone at a park near children/talking to children, while they would smile if the stranger was a woman and would even let her play with their children.

I don't know why they would confuse gays for rapists. Gays are just looking for love. Yes, they do ask out straight men like me. I do tell them, no. This while annoying, are just looking to love someone. This is very similar to straight people, if you think about it. Yes, gay and straights, are different in whom they love.
