Why do people like to do so many different positions, even in a short sex session?

This annoys me because sometimes I’ll be enjoying something, but then a guy will stop doing that and throw me into a different position. And this will happen several more times before it’s over. I find it very frustrating. This seems to be the same with every guy also.

  • Communicate your frustration. There's no point complaining about it and assuming that every guy is the same. The only reason why you experienced the same treatment is because you let it happen via your lack of communication. Men are not mind readers! There's no harm in telling someone how you feel. After all, it's your satisfaction and happiness you are talking about.

    • I’m not asking how to change it. I’m asking what the reason is for it. I’m guessing maybe it’s something that’s common in porn?

    • Porn might be the case for this behaviour but I cannot confirm. If his needs for satisfaction are met through different positions than that might be reason for the abrupt switching.

  • have you ever tried to tell them something about it? that could solve it right away

    • In my experience, every guy does this. I’m more wondering the reason for it than how to stop it. I’m not even dating anyone right now so it’s not an issue at the moment.

    • how many are too many? let's say... for a 30 minute session

    • Four is a lot. Five or more is definitely too many.

  • Best to tell him before that you will let him know when you are ready to change.

    • There’s no particular guy. I’m just wondering why guys in general seem to enjoy doing this. I find it kind of odd, like they’re trying to put on a show.

  • I also don't know

    • So you have noticed this also?

    • Yes, I noticed

    • Does it bother you? I’m guessing some women enjoy it.

  • It’s all fine and good to go forever face to face but imagine doggy style for 30min. I’d say oral, missionary, doggystyle, and some variation of those are pretty standard for one sesh. Often I’ll switch it up because it’s the wrong angle and I realize if I keep going I’m not going to cum. Or if she’s really getting off again and again I’ll switch it up so I don’t cum. A lot of times I just like to see/squish against your ass and then realize I want to make out!

    • I’ve never in my life had sex for as long as 30 minutes. I think every time has been closer to 10 minutes. Maybe less. (Of course, it’s hard to know for sure because it’s not like I was timing it.) But it just seemed really extra to do 3 or more positions during that time. And odd, as if it was some type of ritual or something. Like it was a requirement to do as many different poses as possible. Or like they were trying to show off? It just really confuses me and I don’t get why this is such a popular thing. I’m wondering if it’s unusual for me to not enjoy this, since everyone else seems to.

  • The guy is probably trying not to cum also he clearly doesn't know what you like/need that's the difference between a one night stand and a relationship where you get to know what each other like

    • There’s no particular guy. This is just something I’ve noticed over the years that guys in general like to do. I was just curious about what’s the reason for it.

  • I never do that. Most guys do it to delay them cumming.

    • It kinda sucks for the woman though.

    • I agree. That's why I never do it. Also it usually takes me 40 to 50 minutes to cum...

  • Tell them

    • I know. I’m just wondering what the reason is why guys like to do so many different positions during the same sex session. I just don’t understand what they enjoy about that.

    • Umm if it's no problem for you text to me and we can talk

  • Just communicate that to him

    • I understand that. I’m really just wondering the reason why guys do this, in general. It’s not one particular person.

    • They're controlling

    • Interesting theory. That certainly seems like it could be true! This behavior is a bit bossy, now that I think about it.
