Why do so many gay men hit on me despite being completely straight?

I don't hate gay men but I have fear of sexual harassment from them as in the past they got handsy on me or tried to grope me. Over the years so many gay men hit on me even after living in different cities for studies the situation stayed the same.
Due to this fact, some women also did assume that I am gay (which I am clearly not) as the media portrays that gay guys are always right.
I am not insanely attractive or dress gay.

Superb Opinion
  • You're attractive.

Maybe wear a "straight" pin if you're really bothered. Otherwise, just reject them as usual. And feel flattered.

If you wear a straight pin, straight/bi ladies will know you lean that way, too.

    • I don't think I am that much attractive. I am not bothered by just talking but they tend to get handsy on me soon and it happed before 3-4 times.

    • Put them in their place and tell them you don't appreciate non-consensual touching. Literally say "I did not consent to you touching me, please stop, you're making me uncomfortable". Unfortunately you might need to be very stern, but that's okay. You have a right to be respected.

  • they must get a gay vibe from you

    • I felt gross after being groped once still to this day after years.

  • Perhaps you should prosecute on sexual harassment?

    • It was years before, I was just 18. Can't do much about it anymore. But somehow gays try to get friendly to me. I started living in a new place and one gay guy is stooping and said hi to me and tried to talk more whenever he sees me.
