I am talking about when they are young like teens, I heard people say girls are far easier to manipulate, but I think it's boys instead. They seem much more immature.
Both boys and girls can be manipulated. They are both ruled by hormones and both can be inexperienced and gullible. Both can desire tenderness, affection, love and romance. Songs and movies instill those things in them from an early age.
But I think that girls, in general, learn to be more perceptive. They observe and analyze metacommunication much more than do boys.
Girls learn from an early age how to manipulate their fathers by acting innocent and charming, and even by turning on the tears. Dads don't fall for that shit when their sons do it. Sons are supposed to man up.
In school, boys focus on sports and guy stuff with their buddies while girls form best friends with which they talk for hours about what happened during the day, how other girls dressed, how to look cute, who said what to whom, how someone's body language conflicted with their words, who's crushing on whom, who's having sex, what's happening with celebrities, etc. Their minds are constantly analyzing.
I once heard a mom talking about her teen son and daughter. She described girls like complex computers full of wiring, dials and switches that are constantly running and sparking a myriad of thoughts and emotions. She said that boys are much more simple and have five basic emotions - happy, sad, made, tired and hungry. LOL Her description was much better than mine, but you get the point.
So, while girl's emotions can certainly be manipulated, a lot of guys are at the mercy of their appetites and can be like deer in the headlights when girls turn on their charms.
In the end, I think it's harder to fool girls. Even though they look fragile and innocent, they are more observant than guys and know a lot more than guys realize.
Also, girls are trained to behave in the way society expects. So they have to play the game of innocence even if they have thoughts that would shock most men.
I wonder why this belief that girls are innocent all the time comes from in men

Boys and even men are very easy to manipulate when you a pretty girl. Much like my teacher in high school, I wrapped him around my little finger. Some would have said he was taking advantage of a young innocent girl but it was the complete opposite. Same story with the husband of a couple I used to babysit when I was fifteen, I completely manipulated him. I did this with a lot of older men through my teems and in college to get what I want, it's so easy.
