Because you pretty much have to be mentally ill to do that as a profession. So a sexual identity crisis isn’t really unexpected. People in that industry go through a lot of guilt, self doubt, self-loathing, etc. They often turn to alcohol/drug addiction to cope with their baggage. They have high rates of depression, borderline personality disorder, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, domestic abuse, etc. Generally women that work as prostitutes/porn stars have high rates of sexual abuse as children. When kids are abused and groomed young it fucks with their stability and generates role confusion. They don’t know how to lead a normal life.
