Why do western women / feminists cry about "equality" when they have more rights, freedoms & oppurunities than many women in other countries?

Seriously.

You have women in 3rd world countries who are willing to go to jail & other things for their support of equality and trying to get more freedoms or protections or rights for women.

And then you have women in the west crying about equality. What?

You western women have 10 times the rights/freedoms of many other women. You can drive, vote, own businesses, etc. things women in some other countries only dream about.

So what are you crying about "equality" for?

Equal pay is a big thing. Most men paid better than women in the same career... earned it. Same reason why statistically men who act on facts not dull emotions make better bosses.

.

Mind you in the west the "equality" an increasing number of women cry about seems to be the equal right to sleep around - acting like a prostitute rather than a respectable woman.

  • Why are you a mouthpiece for extending male privilege by saying "be grateful you don't have it worse".

WHY the hell should a lesser degree of inequity compared to other theocratic countries or more restrictive governments be something to celebrate?

Should women be praising the old men making laws for not forcing them to cover themselves head to toe, or work the same job as a man and get paid 30% less?

Then you spread bullshit like this:
" Same reason why statistically men who act on facts not dull emotions make better bosses." Let's see some real data on that, if you can find some. A top financial magazine doesn't think so. No Significant Difference Between Men and Women Bosses

YET you trust and actually prefer women to primarily raise, nurture and TEACH children during the most formative years of their lives, and be in charge of their upbringing. Hmm, guess all those "dull emotions" and lack of facts don't really matter there, do they?

    • @loveslongnails - what are you blithering about? Hmmmm... "work the same job as a man and get paid 30% less" --- most of those men you uneducated tart are better trained that is WHY they make more money. I make MORE than my MALE colleagues because I have Masters & they have a Bachelors. Do you COMPREHEND simple things? Besides statistically men are BETTER at many jobs because they use logics and common sense... something MANY women lack and why better bosses are statistically MALE. There is no such thing as "male privilege" otherwise explain why women can run in politics, own businesses, etc. , etc., etc. Of course you can't because you just recycle nonsense without comprehending the stupidity. The words "male privilege" were created by losers for losers to excuse the fact that they are losers. No different than "white privilege" - you'll never hear decent respectable minorities who've achieved something whining about "white privilege" but you'll hear plenty of minorities with criminal records longer than they are tall crying about it. Just as how you'll NEVER hear women who've achieved something crying about "male privilege" you'll ONLY hear achieve nothing / and will never achieve much of anything with their lives women.

    • @loveslongnails "WHY the hell should a lesser degree of inequity compared to other theocratic countries or more restrictive governments be something to celebrate?" Where do I say it is celebrated? Can you read above a 5th graders level? And it's not a "lesser degree" in other countries --- maybe you should go live in those other countries as a guy or whatever and see if you can survive for 72 hours. Forbes is NOT a top magazine anymore - obviously you're about 20 years behind the times, sort of proven by the fact you're quoting an article in 2014 - it is a rat trap magazine comparable to shit "newspapers" like the Daily Mail. This is VERY OBVIOUS in the fact that the USELESS article you quoted DOES NOT have any references... which means it's POINTLESS blubbering

    • YOU are nothing but a trolling mouthpiece, probably a male pretending to be female. Your entire bullshit argument is exactly what I said it is. You will deny any information that doesn't suit your narrative, but the fact is, you advocate for being satisfied with a modicum of freedoms compared to a theorcracy that would oppress most all of them, AS IF this should be enough. You're a goddamn disgrace. You try and deny there is anything like white privilege and claim to be a black woman, calling out minorities for speaking the truth DESPITE what they achieve. AGAIN, ... AS IF a woman's success or somehow NEGATES the idea that while male privilege STILL exists, whether she bested it or not. Totally moronic statements like this one: " The words "male privilege" were created by losers for losers to excuse the fact that they are losers." ... are your HALLMARK on here, and just lends credence to what I said long ago... ... you're a male troll pretending to be a female, and even if I'm wrong, you're still full of shit.

  • I love dropping that fact on SJWs. They go dead silent cause they know I'm right but don't want to admit defeat.

People scream equal/woman's/gay's rights for westerners but are suspiciously quiet on places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, China, North Korea, Somalia, Mexico, and so on.

Yeah, people just have it soooo bad in Europe and America.

    • Your argument is one big logical fallacy and amounts to nothing more than a manipulation. It's not some "gotcha" moment, buddy. The fact that someone chooses to find an injustice in their own backyard versus one in North Korea or Iran doesn't mean they condone what's going on in those places. There's only so much that an outsider can do to relieve oppression of ANY kind in those countries, let alone against women. And you know that, however you THINK you're making some great sounding point to say "well if you're SO incensed with what's going on in (pick country here), why don't you go there and protest?" You know damn well why. The fallacy of saying "Be grateful country "A" only cuts off one hand if you steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family, instead of both hands if you steal it in country B", doesn't make "Country A" a good guy either.

    • Ah yes, you're right. My bad. Because women being catcalled in a gym in America is leagues worse than the women being raped, tortured, and executed in the Middle-East for saying no to their husbands. Equal Rights have been the law in America since 1964. The countries I mentioned above have nothing even close to an Equal Rights law. Yes, people are still mistreated and face injustice in the west because lets face it: shit happens. The point I'm making is that it's illegal to mistreat and discriminate. The United States and Europe dominate the Human Development Index and the Human Freedom Index. What you described is the equivalent of worrying about a camp fire in the back yard while the Great Chicago Fire is raging.

    • @loveslongnails what oppression are western women undergoing? Hmm. Name one. They can vote. They can own property. They can run businesses. They can drive. They can attend high school and university. They are not subject to political figures rape campaigns as happened in India against Muslim women. They are not stoned to death for cheating or inappropriate sexual relations... rather its encouraged in the west. And many African and other countries women would love to attend basic elementary level school but they cannot. And the list of oppression for women in other countries is absolutely endless. Whereas western women are such they live like goddesses in comparison and yet act like pigs.

  • a lot of left-wing social justice causes can be used by narcissists and sociopaths to hijack for extra privilege because the rest of society are a bunch of cowardly enablers

  • I think it's a form of addictive behavior. Whatever gives us pleasure, we want more and better. Fentanyl "feels good" but it is killing its users. Feminism "feels good" but it is destroying women, the family and our Western culture.

    • Really now. What's "Western culture", and how are "family and women" being destroyed by whatever you're going to tell me feminism really is. This oughta be good.

    • @loveslongnails I stand by my assertions. I need not defend them to you. Both are self-evident to anyone who can think and reason. But maybe I over-estimated you.

    • "Feminism... is destroying women (how?), the family (how? which families?) and our Western Culture". Sounds like the lead in on a Fox or Newsmax story by someone as credible as Waters or Ingraham. Cute attempt at insults, but I asked you to DEFINE your terms, not DEFEND them! LOL Can't defend what you haven't defined! What do you MEAN by them, because they are NOT at ALL self-evident... which should be obvious to anyone who can think and reason, since you brought it up. You see, the basis of an informed discussion is defining TERMINOLOGY. That's why when you sign a legal document, the TERMS are laid out first so you know what you're agreeing to. So snarky boy, if you would, let's hear YOUR definition of "feminism", and YOUR definition of "Western Culture", and then I might possibly have some idea why you believe it's doing what you claim it's doing. If you choose not to, or haven't really thought it out, this will come as no surprise.

  • Most inequality is a confected invention. To complain at fewer women board members on large companies is one of these. Most men and women don't work towards this and it is not in future job list so it is irrelevant to nearly all of us. Why fake outrage?

  • All I see is a bunch of grown babies who can afford their own habits, at the end of the day we all need men and women

  • people always want more. Human nature

  • Hey, where are you from

  • Simply because they believe they deserve an elevated status over men in society. They could care less about the ACTUAL injustices committed against women in other parts of the globe.
