I think the appeal of a "rape fantasy" comes from a specific woman's desire to be physically wanted... to such a degree that can sometimes be animalistic. Perhaps this is why some women fantasize about their perpetrator being, either, a shy-but-handsome prince turned dirty, sometimes even about another woman (even though they're straight), or an outright beast, ogre, or some other humanoid creature. Humans are animals and our natural biological instincts are still there to some degree.
The whole courtship idea is a human development but instinctually women parade around looking for male attention (which they still do) and men are suppose to see that and simply grab and mount.
So instinctually women want a man to “take her” but our civilized society is only ok with the female parading around exposing herself for sexual attention part and not the men doing what should come naturally on our end when a female does that.
