What are reasons or facts that may contribute to ghosting?

Advancements in technology play a huge roll when it comes to ghosting & it only gets worse. Back in the day when the phone would ring you would pick it up & you had no idea who was calling & you talked to whoever was on the other end of the line. When answer machines came into play people started letting the answer machine picked pick up the call in order to screen who was calling. After that caller ID killed things again & when the phone would ring you would see who was calling & you decided if you wanted to pick up the call or not & nowadays cellphones & voicemail do the same thing. Before you had texting you had online chat rooms & people were getting ghosted left & right. When online chat rooms became a thing of the past texting was in & still is & ghosting continue. If someone sends you a text you have options, should I send a message back or should I not. Nowadays we live in such a connected world if someone sends you a text message that says hi & you don’t respond they send you twenty more & if you don’t respond they think you are ghosting them or they end up ghosting you.

I think for men ghosting, it's normally because they either got what they wanted and left, or the "product" was not as advertised (catfished).

For women I hear it's mostly stuff like "he was a creep/troll/stalker/wimp and I don't want to interact with him because he'll just try and continue the conversation rather than taking no for an answer."

The internet is where people hide. They come and go as they please, and now they've just gotten used to going 'poof' because there are literally SO MANY people that we can interact with daily that what does it matter if I ghost this guy or that girl or whatever.

Because of social media culture women have higher expectations than what they offer and will monkey branch to the next best guy. They got options so youve gotta become hotter than her. Chase money and your purpose and women will always chase you. God speed

Ghosting is pretty common if you’re on a dating site or online site and haven’t met someone in person yet. I wouldn’t take it personally in that case. It is rude if done after meeting someone in person, but there is no point in letting it get you down. If a woman ghosts you, it is best for you not to waste time on her anyway and focus on finding someone who will reciprocate your interest and feelings.

It is so much easier to just ghost somebody than it is to face them in person while you kick them to the curb. The technology exists and it has become so prevalent it is now a normal part of human interactions.

It's a mainly because they don't want to hurt feelings. at least that's the reason for me. Sure I could a guy he's boring, annoying, dumb, weird or what ever and I don't wanna talk to him anymore or I could just stop replying.
