  • Advancements in technology play a huge roll when it comes to ghosting & it only gets worse. Back in the day when the phone would ring you would pick it up & you had no idea who was calling & you talked to whoever was on the other end of the line. When answer machines came into play people started letting the answer machine picked pick up the call in order to screen who was calling. After that caller ID killed things again & when the phone would ring you would see who was calling & you decided if you wanted to pick up the call or not & nowadays cellphones & voicemail do the same thing. Before you had texting you had online chat rooms & people were getting ghosted left & right. When online chat rooms became a thing of the past texting was in & still is & ghosting continue. If someone sends you a text you have options, should I send a message back or should I not. Nowadays we live in such a connected world if someone sends you a text message that says hi & you don’t respond they send you twenty more & if you don’t respond they think you are ghosting them or they end up ghosting you.

    • True, it sucks

  • I think for men ghosting, it's normally because they either got what they wanted and left, or the "product" was not as advertised (catfished).

For women I hear it's mostly stuff like "he was a creep/troll/stalker/wimp and I don't want to interact with him because he'll just try and continue the conversation rather than taking no for an answer."

    • Oh, really, so after a first good first date would she ghost me because I'm not her type?

  • The internet is where people hide. They come and go as they please, and now they've just gotten used to going 'poof' because there are literally SO MANY people that we can interact with daily that what does it matter if I ghost this guy or that girl or whatever.

  • It is a huge issue. An epidemic of the current generation really. I’m glad I’m not dating right now.

    • Lol.

    • Ok, and yeah it does does suck

    • Why you laughing, Sam? 🤔

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Because of social media culture women have higher expectations than what they offer and will monkey branch to the next best guy. They got options so youve gotta become hotter than her. Chase money and your purpose and women will always chase you. God speed

    • Kk, it's just bogus hen all you wantnis a relationship but I they don't want that too :^(

  • It's just that too many people are a combination of lazy, unable to handle responsibility and think they can't handle conflict.

    • I think for me those girl's were never intrested in or pretended to be just because they were bored. :^(

    • Well, that's possible, but there's also hypergamy to contend with. It's totally normal when you're trying to meet women for there not to be a connection with the overwhelming majority of them.

    • Hmm, I see, so, what I do to reduce it?

  • I’ve been ghosted before but it only happened once from someone I cared about

    • damm, well that happens to me more often than I want :(

  • Ghosting is pretty common if you’re on a dating site or online site and haven’t met someone in person yet. I wouldn’t take it personally in that case. It is rude if done after meeting someone in person, but there is no point in letting it get you down. If a woman ghosts you, it is best for you not to waste time on her anyway and focus on finding someone who will reciprocate your interest and feelings.

    • Yeah, I met her on a dating site and went on a date irl but she ghosted me and we never planned a second date.

  • Only time I ghost someone is if they make me uncomfortable and don’t listen when I tell them

    • Would you ghost someone after a good first date?

    • If I feel like the date was good then no.

    • Oh, well you're already better than the girl I dated :^/

  • It is so much easier to just ghost somebody than it is to face them in person while you kick them to the curb. The technology exists and it has become so prevalent it is now a normal part of human interactions.

    • True , it has and that sucks.

  • I think it's because ghosters feel like they have tons of options and are insecure about the possibility of being asked to justify their feelings.

  • Once I had sex with her than I ghost girl
    And than new Hunt begin.

    • Oh, so you just pump and dump

    • Yes..

    • So, how do you feel after doing it? Do you get a lot of girl's?

  • It's easier than breaking up.

  • I don't think it's a huge issue at all

    • Really, why do you think that's it not an issue?

    • What's the issue here? The ghoster doesn't like how its going and they move on. The ghostee shouldn't be caught off guard if they're paying attention. You get on with life either way.

  • All the time bro.

  • It's a mainly because they don't want to hurt feelings. at least that's the reason for me. Sure I could a guy he's boring, annoying, dumb, weird or what ever and I don't wanna talk to him anymore or I could just stop replying.

    • Would you still ghost someone after a fun date and awesome first date?

    • You don't ghost someone without reason. If it was fun and awesome then there is no reason to ghost someone. If you ghost someone it's because you don't want to talk or be with that person anymore and don't want to hurt his feelings. Reasons can be anything from personality or looks or just not feeling it. Of course there is also always the possibility of outside influences like bfs/husbands/ex bfs.

    • Well, I don't know what happened but for me she did ghosted me. She stopped talking to me and responding to my messages. No odea, why she did that also, she called me the next day to say that she had a lovely time and want's to plan a second date.

  • I really don't understand.
If anything, ghosting is one of the most polite way to tell someone you're not interested and to fuck off.

    • No it's not telling them through text is bettern than someone just running away

    • It is.

  • me, too

    • Same it's so annoying and makes you dies a little inside too 😔

    • true, :(

    • Yup, it sucks 😢 Wanna dm me if feel like it and share our misfortune
