Why do you think there is a stigma around female sexuality even from women themselves?

It's like God forbid you express your sexuality as simply as saying that u like sex, and the next thing u know, men lining up to you for 1 night stands and all of them looking down on you , yet are ready to stick it inside u without a 2nd thought, wtf is wrong with the world? just because a woman implies that she likes sex, doesn't mean she likes it with any passer by, so from where does this "female sexuality= cheap" come from?

I'm baffled, too, Female_assasin. Are women NOT supposed to enjoy sex? Who would want that? The only kind of guy who would want to have sex with a woman who didn't enjoy sex is one who, himself, has no idea what good sex is like. Either that, or he is a sadist who enjoys torturing animals and woman.

With the advent of the pill and the sexual revolution, women were suddenly free to be true to their sexual nature. They could enjoy sex without the fear of pregnancy.
Many men were delighted by this. They no longer had to wear condoms. They could revel in the juicy pleasures of sex without worrying about getting their girlfriends pregnant.
But some men clung to the old notion there there were only two kinds of women: wives and whores. Good girls were supposed to marry and raise families in houses with white picket fences. They were supposed to cook, clean, care for the kids, and gratify their husband's sexual appetites while the men went off to work every day and did whatever they wanted. He was the master of the house and his wife was part of the furniture.

I reject that entirely. There is nothing more glorious than a woman with a strong libido and the freedom to exercise it. That absolutely DOES NOT make her a slut or a whore.

Every girlfriend I ever had was sweet with wholesome values. They were good girls, normal in every way. They were looking for a relationship and even a husband and children at some point. Being sexually active didn't cheapen them. Just because they were sexually active and enjoyed sex didn't mean that they went out seeking every opportunity for a "wham bam thank you, maam". They had values and standards.

That's how I view the majority of women. I celebrate their ability to pursue sexual gratification, as opposed to being mere objects for the sexual gratification of men.

Most of the people I hang around with are people who have some association with the BDSM community, so they tend to be a whole lot more open-minded and a whole lot less judgmental than the average person, so I don't have a whole lot of that attitude from people in my life. Except perhaps my sister, but she's just a bitch.

When the pill didn't exist, nor did any DNA test to ever tell who's the biological father of a child unless the woman had one partner only, chastity and purity was very highly valued, and even men who cheated on their wives were ridiculed by the society. Pregnancy is dangerous for women, and it is a huge investment of energy, no woman wants to bear the child of the wrong partner for this reason, and only want to choose the one who has shown the capability to provide and protect. This is why women would always refrain from being loud about their sexuality or display any sexual availability to the whole public.

So can you think who could be the only one advertising herself to every man out there? The sex worker. Something that a woman didn't have to do if she had someone to provide for her, either her father/brother or her husband. No one would simply choose to do sex work, they did it out of necessity.

And you don't need to do a lot to get a man and get laid. Men will swarm in if you show any form of availability. That's how it has been forever. Even for a relationship, it was the norm that the man makes the move and initiates conversation, but not before the woman shows interest/availability. Women would drop their handkerchief as a signal, and the man would initiate by picking it up and giving it to her.

Women intuitively know this. And we know that naturally you don't become so loud about your sexuality. I don't understand how it suddenly became acceptable for men to be loud about theirs to the point that's it's out of the ordinary to not do it as a man, but that's also terrible.

Does this justify shaming? Absolutely not. If anything, understanding the underlying cause behind these things happening should give us the reason to be kinder.

Men can be horndogs and go after any woman they see, make derogatory comments about women walking by at the mall, yet women say a man has a cute butt, and we are called sluts and whores.

I blame tv and movies for portraying women as wanting sex as soon as a man kisses them! Girls are walking sex machines and want to rape every man they see.

Form a patriarchal society in misconception that built the stigma in order to control women and prevent them from succeeding in life. God had nothing to do with it. It is argued that men and were created as equals as they should be but for thousands of years women have been the abused. Over time women have fought back and that is good but until we both can learn to respect and live with each in love and righteousness then stigmas will fall away and attributes like sexuality will be considered what it truly is. A gift from God that is shared by both men and women that should never be thought of as shameful.

But my opinion is women hate "sluts, tricks, hoes, whores, etc" because they devalue sex. One thing everyone can agree on is sex appeal and the act itself is a powerful tool of women. It's why Cleopatra was able to stay on the good side of the Romans, until she got caught, and why English queens went unmarried. If men see sex as easy we're more likely to go for the easy woman rather than the harder one, unless there's a very good reason why we shouldn't (STD or potential crazy stalker).

I don't understand where it comes from and why women can't love sex without being stigmatized. I think that it's double standards. If it's normal for guys to love sex and not looking bad it should be same for girls. I don't either understand men sleeping with a girl and then looking down on her. I think that they should be grateful to her instead of this. Or they should slut shame themselves for sleeping with this girl
