Why does it seem like men are a lot less nice to women these days (I. e. after 2010)?

I’ve noticed that a lot of men these days are assholes. As an attractive woman, a lot of rude men have come after me purely for sex. I’ve seen other averages looking women being mocked by men. Guys seem to enjoy making fun of attractive women as well, frequently talking about how their standards are too high. Honestly, men 40+ are always polite to me and open the door, but a lot of guys under 40 (even in their mid-30’s) seem like dicks.

Two words: Radical Feminism.

Women wanted to be treated the same as men, to have all the same rights and privileges, not realizing that it means that all the negative stuff is also part of the package. In the late 90s and early 2000s, I would have angry feminists who would scream at me for holding a door open or offering some minor bit of assistance - it happened multiple times. And did any woman ever come to any man's defense? Never!

What lessons do you imagine that teaches guys?

When a guy approaches a woman and gets called a creep and loudly humiliates him because she doesn't consider him attractive enough, what lesson does that teach men?

When women bring a list of demands for a man to be in a relationship that's longer than Santa's "Good & Bad" list, but they themselves bring mostly negatives to the table, what lesson does that teach men?

Look, I'm not actually excusing rude or bad behavior - I don't treat people that way unless they push me quite hard - but you need to have some perspective of the other side. I realize you aren't a guy who has to try to date women, but you need to understand how horribly a TON of women treat men all day long and no one notices or cares... except men notice, and care, and that treatment is reflected on how they treat women in return.

These are the things that men face: women who want WAY more than they bring to the table, women who refuse to even participate in conversation, and women who eliminate men with crazy standards before they know anything about him. And then, if they get a date, they have to make sure they aren't being played.

Yes, there are some terrible men out there, but there are also some terrible women out there, and unless you understand that both are true, and unless you realize that the guy you are talking to has likely ran into some of those terrible women, just as you've run into terrible men, then you can't have any understanding of what's going on.

it's the way they are raised it seems that guys have no manners because they don't... I bet they've never even heard the word before now when I was growing up I went to a private school that tought every child manners they tought us to respect women... oh people but I simply love women you have never been around me or you would know how beautiful I can make a woman feel

We live in such a disposable culture these days. Where we only use people for our own pleasure or until we get bored of them. Men who defeat this standard are hard to find, but I promise you there are men out there who want love too!

It’s possible they are just giving what they are getting, it works both ways, I’m nice to women and don’t bother them or even approach them since I’m not sure how they will react
