Girls, Why does it seem like significantly more women are LGBTQ than men?

I have noticed that a much larger amount of women classify themselves as LGBTQ+ or are more open to experimenting than men?
Why is this?
Is it simply more naturally built into female psychology?
Or is it simply easier for them to come out with it?

  • We're just closer with one another. Whether or not a female relationship is platonic or romantic, I think it will always be more intimate than a heterosexual romantic relationship or a male friendship. Obviously it has its ups and downs since two women romantically involved is the same as any other romantic relationship. It seems easier sometimes. It also helps that we know all about what pleasures a woman sexually.

    • That is true, and likely a major reason why some women might consider themselves "straight" while carrying out actions that if male friends did the same thing would be considered "gay"

  • a lot of girls LOVE BITCHING AND COMPLAINING silly boy not me. I see someone acting like an idiot I grab a glass of 🍷 wine and laughing my ass off. Liberals are always crying about everything this whole politically correctness things ridiculous!

  • I think you have to ask men this question.. why is there less of them?

    • ^ good question I would say probably due to 1. Male sexuality being less fluid, and 2. Male sexuality is held to more stern standards in society Men tend to either be straight, or gay very rarely do you run across bisexual men (and they tend to be labeled as gay as well) while on the other side Females can be "straight" and carry out same sex sexual activities and and be considered "experimenting" or "playing around" or "doing it for attention" ^ a Man could never do that So there are different standards for sure

    • You seem upset by that! Are you upset that men cannot be bisexual and be considered “experimenting, or playing around”?

    • @CrazyGirl2 I think it is a very silly double standard.

  • Because there's a lot of women who are raped by men.

I thought about being gay too.

  • It's looked down upon when it's guys for some reason

  • It's more accepting when a woman comes out than men.

  • Less of a stigma around female LGBTQ people than men unfortunately

    • That does make sense Female friendships also sometimes can borderline erotic
