Just like the vagina, the foreskin contains a culture of protective bacteria. And just like when women douche, you upset the balance of that culture when you wash your penis with soap (or dip it in mouthwash) and it leads to infections. It also irritates the delicate, soft tissues of the genitalia.

Soap kills bacteria, but not yeast (which is a fungus called Candida Albicans) which leads to overgrowth and eventually, a full blown yeast infection. The symptoms are similar to female yeast infections: itchiness and a strong, fishy smell (no discharge, though). The more you wash it, the worse it gets.

If you have a yeast infection, go to your pharmacy and grab a tube of antifungal cream. Men`s or Women`s will work. It`s the same stuff. Follow the directions on the box.

And for God`s sake stop scrubbing your penis and dipping it in mouthwash. All you need to do to keep it clean is give it a good rinse with warm water.

Well, I shower everynight, So i clean it there, And, Every morning when i wake up, Ill just clean it with water or something, And, If im doing hard sweaty work or something during the day, Ill just like go to a restroom and use like baby wipes or something (Theyre soft so they dont feel uncomfortable like papertowels do, and they are good for cleaning because they are damp). The reason your dick will smell, Is because you are not cleaning out a substance called ''Smegma'', Which is basically just a white, Mushy form of a dead cells and bodily fluids (Cum and pee), And, It sits around the rim of your dick and will smell, Obviously you need to clean this stuff out multiple times per day (If you clean it often enough like i do, It will never have a chance to build up). Seriously though man, You should be cleaning it alteast once or twice per day at the minimum.

Yeah man, I dont know if you know this, But, Just incase you dont, If you are uncircumcised (Still have your foreskin), Then, When you clean it, You need to pull the skin back, And clean out around the rim of your tip (In britain we call it the ''Bellend'').
