Because it goes hand in hand with the idea that women are objects to obtain, while men are allowed their promiscuity without consequence. Another factor in the dehumanizing behaviors towards women, as we are humans with our own sexual needs and a clitoris quite literally made for pleasure, along with a g spot.


And a lot of women actually do value it, myself included. But when there’s a double standard, where you expect me to be a virgin when you yourself are not, it becomes an issue. I don’t like males that are easily accessible or males that fuck often, I’d never trust one like that with my virginity. Especially if they have a history of cheating in previous relationships.


Historically, women valued having sex with a single male and those males cheated on them. Women who waited until marriage, their partners cheated on them. It’s been leading cause of divorce since women were given the human right to divorce. When males do things like this, it shows us that not only is there a double standard against us, but even when we do keep our virginities we aren’t rewarded for it, we aren’t valued for it in the way we value ourselves, and sex doesn’t mean the same thing to males as it does to us. For males, it’s that we “belong” to you and only you, but we aren’t given the same luxury of knowing that. Some women have in turn stopped looking for love all together and now just as many males have done to the same women, they use males for pleasure. That and married men are primarily the ones who go to strip clubs. Shows the constant lack of respect to women.


It also goes hand in hand with the other ridiculous contradictions and double standards males have, where they want a virgin but also expect a girl to put out on the first date because they aren’t willing to be gentlemen and pay for the date otherwise. in this day and age too many males see it as a waste of time and money, and it shows where their values lie. I've experienced this too many times to count, that is our dating pool. and it suck’s because it’s close to torture not having sex because hello.. women are humans with sexual needs as well. At the moment, the only thing that keeps me from having sex is the following:


1. I’m 18, and most males my age don’t value or appreciate the women in their life enough for me to consider sex with them.


2. I can’t give myself to someone who has no self control and cheats after three weeks to a month of being together. this has happened multiple times and if I’m going to marry you, what’s gonna happen when I’m pregnant and throwing up every day and I’m not in the mood? Or when I’m healing and have to nurse the newborn 24/7? Or if I have to deal with post partum depression? Are you gonna cheat because of your lack of self discipline? It’s unreliable.


3. Rarely any good males are out here nowadays. The most a male has to offer is dick and money, and majority don’t even have the money.


All of the reasons I listed could wholeheartedly convince me to start having sex when I feel like it and stop valuing relationships with males as a whole, among many more reasons. and I’m sure the same is for other girls.


That and times are changing, people are dating younger and forming intense relationships in their teen years when they are most hormonal. It’s natural.


Additionally, hymens tear easily. That isn’t conducive for the “virginity test”. It’s very outdated and inaccurate.

Your algorithm shows you the things you like and the things you interact with. Attractive girls/girls, thirst traps etc. It leads to a wandering eye. You don't need to look for a playboy magazine anymore or go out to rent porn DVD's, it's all at your fingertips. 2. Social media again; tik tok especially. the ability to watch short clips and ingest so much entertainment shortens your attention span, to the point people aren't able to sit and watch a movie without checking their phone. While immensely beneficial, this wave of technology is doing more harm than good. 3. Dating apps/secret messaging apps. You don't need to be caught out in public anymore, you can exchange nudes and or sext with quite literally anyone. Horny? Download tinder and swipe right and keep going until you find someone willing to do it with you. The convenience of it all has us stuck. All of these things lead to a lack of self discipline, as do sites like amazon, uber eats and doordash. You want something? it's brought to you for your convenience. It makes us lazy and gluttonous, greedy, and more prone to be impatient. The patriarchy and a lack of self discipline and this new wave of sneaky links/ sexual freedom. Sex was never truly honored by males, women were the only ones held to that standard of purity and even then the males would visit brothels or prostitutes, or rape.
