i have actually dealt with that topic on a scientifical level and i can tell you that there's a lot of sources out thre that to my personal disgust actually made it through peer review making wild claims with sweeping generalizations and no empirical backup...

from what we know, porn consumption has no significant negative impact. however it can be a marker for issues. so it's a "symptom", not the disease. that's rare though for most people, pornography has positive effects, not negative ones.

i personally consume it, cause i'm single but still a horny boy.

the industry has a dark image, cause we do have that social moral panic still, putting a Focus on the extreme negative ends and not the "norm". doing porn is a job like any other. and yes there is some dark areas of the general sex industry. but so is in every industry.

Dworkin’s “facts” are mere assertions unsupported by evidence, and her opinion is not universal among women who study the subject. There are other women who are more positive about pornography.
