Why I believe Genital Integrity should be applied to both boys and girls

I will discuss what I think about the government in America mainly but can be anywhere as to why boys need protection also from mutilation and not just girls. Lets start with female circumcision.

Female circumcision

By the time Bill Clinton signed a bill to ban female circumcision on September 30th 1996, only 9 states had it banned but Maryland wasn't one of them. However, federal law supersedes state law and the practice can be stopped anywhere in America. Most girls never faced an issue with this in America but up until the later part of 1996, girls could legally have been circumcised in 82% of states (41 out of 50). This harms girls big time and was mainly done to shame girls into thinking female sexuality needs to be controlled.

Male circumcision

This has roots way back to the days of Abraham in the Bible. There is less anger against this than against females. I rather they share equal anger against both. There is a lot of false information about how it is healthy. This is also mutilation and foreskin is a healthy tissue. There is rarely ever a need to get circumcised. This has a lot to do with our American laws not seeing any justification that boys need to be protected. Due to so many Jews, this likely would never get outlawed in the future. Foreskin is not a birth defect.

Conclusion

I find it rather disturbing where we can have laws that protect people just because they were born a certain sex and if born another sex, refuse to offer protection. It doesn't matter whether you are male or female, both boys and girls deserve genital integrity.
