Why I'm not ashamed of having a large chest

Now I know what you're likely thinking, it's anywhere between "Well, duh! Why should she be ashamed of having big boobs?" or "She just going to use a MyTake to brag about her boobs". I'm going to tell you now, neither assumption is true.

Why I'm not ashamed of having a large chest

We appear to be going back to the time where all women want to have a small chest and to be honest, I was so embarrassed about my larger bust in high school that I would do things to "hide" it like wearing my long hair down, or not wearing my shirts tucked into my high waisted skirts creating the "tent effect". Now that I'm older, I bear no shame in my big chest and, if anything, I'm quite proud of it. I did recently ask a question on here if I would be judged for being proud of something like that and they said stuff like "why wouldn't you be proud?". But here's why I would have not been proud 4 years ago,

1. I'm from a Christian family that's all about covering up. And that's harder to do with a large bust. How I got over it was wear classy and figure flattering clothes all the time. Yes, the tent effect will happen, but if you wear tight pants, you still get a cute outfit. 😊

2. I thought that people will automatically assume I was stupid. How I got over it was to throw myself into my studies and let my intelligence be my best quality, so people understood that not only did I have a big chest, but a big brain as well ;)

3. The boys. I personally have yet to deal with stuff like cat-calling, but I have gotten stares. What I do is ignore them at the time and get offended, but then I learn to laugh and remember that we are all human and not pretend like all (or at least most) guys aren't like that and we are all human and it's just natural to do any scanning and spend more time at the spot you like the most. Hopefully, they will wait until you aren't looking though (unless you like it) XD but if they get rude and/or creepy about it, people tend to say more about them than they will about you :)

4. Rude comments from the other girls. Again, I personally never delt with this one, but I know that my fellow busty girls have so my tips are that you just remember that they have a severe lack of maturity and they have the mentality of middle schoolers and they likely self-cautious of their own breasts. So just be kind to them as best as you can. I know that this is a hard thing to do, but remember what I said earlier; that people will say more about the girls making the rude comments than they ever will about you. And if you pay them a compliment, the onlookers will admire you and maybe you will stop getting rude comments from the other girls :)

I honestly never thought I would be able to deal with the notrious "busty girl problems" and I learned to deal with the social busty girl problems (yes, I do still struggle with finding dresses that fit both my chest AND waist. They are hard to find, but they are not IMPOSSIBLE to find) and I have heard stories about famous busty women that have hated their big breasts when they were younger that learned to love them and I thought that I would not turn out the same as them but I do now for these reasons;

1. I have a vintage figure like Marliyn Monroe or Polarie (obviously not with as skinny of a 16 inch corseted waist XD)

2. I have more curves

3. My waist looks tiny by comparison

4. I feel more like a woman instead of just a girl

5. I can look and feel sexy in just about anything

6. When I do find shirts and dress that fit my waist and bust, it makes me feel good

7. I have an extra purse (this one is a little more silly, but I like having a place to hide my money XD)

But while I want the women who are ashamed of their big busts to feel better with reading this, I don't want the women who are ashamed of their small busts to feel worse by reading this, so for you smaller chested gals, here is why I often feel envious of your chest size;

1. You have a vintage figure too. In the 1920s, the flappers hid their curves and obviously, the smaller the bust, the easier to do XD and go watch "Thoroughly Modern Millie" with Julie Andrews, it is FUNNY with the way they show the style of the desired flat chest 😆

2. You can wear anything without it being too revealing. If you're thinking "or sexy when I want it to be!" Remember that people admire women who still dress like ladies ;)

3. It's easier to make your breasts look bigger than it is to make them look smaller. You have push-up bras, horizontal stripes, ruffles, and more! We have bandages, corsets, and baggy shirts XD

4. You can actually find bras that fit without either; forking over hundreds of dollars, settling for the wrong size, having to find other places that carry the size you need, etc.

5. You can be more comfortable and cute. In my opinion, small boobs are the yoga pants of boobs because they are not only cute, but they're comfortable too. Big boobs are the high heels of boobs; they look hot, yes, but they are uncomfortable too from time to time.

Even if I often wish that my chest was smaller from time to time (and a wish of mine would be to trade with a girl who was like a B cup for a week just to see what it was like), at the end of the day, I enjoy being busty. Do I want to take naked picture of myself and post them online? No. Do I want to use my boobs for stuff like getting out of speeding tickets? No. Would I show a guy that I thought was cute my chest to get him to like me?No. Would I wear revealing shirts to show them off and get attention? No. I would never actively draw attention to them in ways that whores do, I would prefer to be an intelligent lady who just happens to have a large chest that she's proud of openly. I would never "use" it unless I have children I need to nurse and that would be the only time. I don't want to be considers a conceited slut who puts all of her self worth into her bust-sized, I just want to show that I'm not ashamed of it as society seems to expect me to be if I want to be taken seriously in the world and I want to get other women to feel the same way, big or small. We all need to stop being girls that compete with each other and start being women who encourage and empower one another.

  • Finally, a my take that actually is meant for me... I'm a pretty busty girl; I used to be very insecure about my chest size since I just recently found out that I'm a 36 triple D cup (Women on both sides of my family tend to have big boobs and tend to be very curvy ) . And I really hated it... especially when guys notice (even my male teachers) my body shape since most guys call me"hot, curvy , thick" or"big boobs" Which I don't really like at all. Hell even my male teachers get a little nervous or awkward around me because of my body. Not only that but I have an extremely hard time to find loose fitting clothes for myself so I can feel more secure (I'm a pretty conservative dressing person it's my type of style). And my family usually tell me to show a bit more since I have the body for it but I say that I should respect my body a wear what I like (conservative clothing ).

So when I first started to read this I was ready to feel offended. But then you covered up flat girls too. And I'm soo grateful for that. You just made my self esteem go up so much more! There aren't many people today who can bring themselves up, without bringing others down..   • I have big boobs but there are some fat girls who think that just because their boobs are big that they are curvy or men like them. No, some men like big boobs on a woman who is healthy, in shape, or slim and not with a bunch of fat on her stomach. Some men they like the contrast of a slim waist and a big chest that creates a curvy woman
