Why is having sex called " fucking a girl"?

Having sexual intercourse is a pleasurable thing for both the persons involved in it , then why is it called " fucking her" / " i fucked her" or something like that which almost sounds as if the male " assaulted or used" the female...

Ot why isn't it called " she fucked him"?

It kind of sounds degrading to woman, No?

It isn't degrading to woman and doesn't sound as if male used female
