Because there are 1300 domestic abuse shelters for women in the US and only 1 for men. Because 1 in 4 women are victims of abuse by intimate partner and only 1 in 7 for men. 75% of women attempting suicide receive psychiatric help while only 45%of men do. Men are 4 times more likely to suicide than women, yet Suicide Prevention hotline is required to be staffed by people trained to work with women. No such requirement training exists to help men callers.

Because men can resist just a wee bit better than women. It's much harder to coerce men into sex. Women can threaten physical violence or imply the threat just like men, but unless a man is drugged this usually won't have the same affect that it would if the roles were reversed.

Because their consent is as important as it gets. Women can say that they did something and didn't give their consent and they would believe the women more often than the man. I don't know. That's just how I see it.
