Why is living a hedonistic lifestyle frowned upon?

You think about your own pleasure before thinking about its consequences on others, yet you live in a community. When a community is full of people who have consideration for others, life is of better quality.
On the contrary, when you are in a community full of hedonists, life becomes harder and shitty.

I personally find it immature, immoral and dangerous.

Pleasure is short term and exist in the present moment. Consequences of your hedonistic life, on your or other people's lives, are long term and exist in the future.

Thus hedonists to me, see life with a short term vision. Short term vision is usually found in people who are "less" intelligent.
Like a person who keeps eating chocolate cake (instant pleasure) but fails to see she/he is getting fatter and fatter over time (long term effect).
Or a person that cheats on his/her partner, because she/he focuses on the pleasure of sex and doing something wrong or forbidden, the thrill of danger etc.

These people are a plague. The worst part is that some try to minimise the recklessness of their behaviour by saying "as long as I'm not hurting anyone, I can do whatever I want" which sounds fair, except in reality they totally fail to see the harm they cause.
