Why is teenagers being sexually active looked down upon by parents so much?

I get the risk and safety parts but past that no I don’t.

  • They'd want them to themselves

  • They don’t have the maturity to handle the fact they were used

  • they are too young to have a serious relationship. Pregnancy could ruin education

  • Just talking about STDs and teen pregnancy is very easy. Your parents are the ones who has to suffer for you when you get infected with AIDS or a new baby

    • But when you’re 18 aids isn’t their issue and most people (that I know at least) aren’t crazy enough to want a kid that young

    • Doesn't matter if you're 18 or even 30, would you be alright if your kid got STDs? Most teen pregnancies are accidental as in they don't understand the importance of protection I don't get it anyways. If you wanna have sex, you can go do it. No reason to tell your parents. I doubt they wanna know the details

    • See my thing is it’s going to happen regardless unless of a religious reason, wanting to practice abstinence or some form of trauma. My mom and me had a whole conversation and even got me birth control pills just in case, told me and educated me on safe sex and all that yet is surprised that I even masturbate. I’m not even having sex yet and it’s just so shocking 😑
