Why isn’t Sperm fought for like Fetuses?

Certainly what makes a fetus is just as important. Sperm cells have ole factory systems.
Sorry fellow masturbators!
i took a pic of this little guy before he went to St Peter in my sock by the bed.

  • Great point. Sperm are living human tissue and should not be randomly destroyed. Time to start regulating men’s bodies. No more masturbation.

    • Does that mean no more masturbation for women too since equal rights?

    • @Intothevoid666 females don’t masturbate out life. But every month they shit one out.

  • You nasty

  • The more direct comparison would be sperm vs. eggs - fetuses are the result of the combination of the two.

As far as value, it's like anything else in life: rare things are more valuable than common things.

The average man produces millions of sperm per ejaculation - trillions over an average human lifetime. A woman produces 250-300 eggs, and has them prior to puberty - that's all she's ever going to have. See why eggs are more valued than sperm? There's nothing more readily available than sperm, but eggs are a rare commodity by comparison.

  • Sperm alone cannot become a human life. An unfertilized egg alone, will not become a human life. A fetus, left alone, IS a human life.

  • The same reason we do not really both with eggs, which are the other half of the picture.

We do not have huge religious mourning festivals for periods, oh no another egg has went to the pearly gates.

if a guy does not masturbate, then they ‘die’ and are absorbed.

Although I believe part of the excuse used by Religious people when caught sucking of the altar boy, choir boy, is that they were taking the offering unto God.

although not sure why so many of these religious type spurted their ‘offering’ in to afore mentioned altar boys arse, I guess God knows,

short version, - sperm is not a living entity, it’s half the story to the Egg.

  • Sperm has to fertilize a female's egg before it can make a baby.
Lots of guys who never masturbate will likely ejaculate in their sleep like a wet dream so sometimes it's the body's natural function to expel ejaculate eventually anyway.

  • Well I guess you can look at it like this peanut butter is just peanut butter until you put jelly on it

A big potato is just a big potato until you put butter and sour cream on it

A steak is just a steak until you barbecue it
The car is just a car until you put gas in it

Or can you look at it like that

one cell is one cell until it's fertilized and then it can create a population

    • Still if a sperm wiggled into an egg is life, wouldn’t a sperm and an egg also be life? There’s not some instant spark, is there?

    • Your right and in there own way it's the start of something so I mean if we were to be 100 % honest we could say that's the beginning of life Every summer weeds come up and in time they produce seeds the plant drys up the wind blows the seeds every where they might get covered up with blowing dust dirt and can be in the ground for years all it takes is some one to spit in the right place at the right time or a little rain and that life start s.

    • Or it can just lay there for years With a women that has something go wrong with her and if her having a baby is going to cut her life short I believe only she can make the choice of doing what she wants to do go stay alive.. or if a women is raped or for ed in to something she wants no part of and she gets pregnant she to and only she get to make the choice on how she wants to handle it

  • Dude!!! Did you ever watch Moral Orel? There was an episode dedicated to this.

    • Never heard of it. But I like it.

    • Dude, the episodes are so on point. So funny. I mean, I don't like the way they mock Christianity so much, but a lot of criticisms they make are valid when it comes to how hypocritical Christians can be.

  • Because in an average man's life he will produce around 500-600 billion spermatozoa, if all of those were sacred and preserved for a life, the human race would have made itself extinct a millennium ago from overpopulation and eventually starvation. As it is we're headed that way in the next 20-30 years anyway with the rate of population growth as it stands.

    • That still doesn’t answer why fetus’ are considered life and spermatozoa ain’t….

    • Because on their own sperm don't have the ability to create a zygote as they can't perform mitosis.

    • Basically a sperm is only half a set of DNA.

  • sperms are weird. and now you tell me they can smell? i mean i guess they are exactly like a tadpole

    • It’s life you kill every time you masturbate.

    • should males that don't plan on procreating get snipped?

    • I’m actually looking into it. My wife claims she’s still fertile. Highly doubtful…. :)

  • Good point considering the sperm activities with movement and objective to get to an egg that just floats around sperm seem more alive and intelligent!

  • A fetus is developing person a sperm cell is just a single cell organism involved in making a person

  • A sperm cell does not care.

    • Neither does a fetus

    • @oddbeme That is a matter of opinion. That is the big question that nobody wants to touch with a ten foot pole

    • A fetus doesn’t get brain or nervous system until well into their second, third trimester.

  • cause sperm by itself is not a human yet. only through being combined with an egg cell, creating a new genetic shuffeling is it a new human created.

  • You don't even know how to spell "olfactory.". Sit down, son.

    • My god…I’ve been destroyed by this alpha male named Jamie! All hail Jamie’s spellcheck!

  • Sperm and egg cells have half of the necessary chromosomes. Therefore they have no potential of intelligent life. A fetus does.

    • Why do you hate life with only half the chromosomes?

    • I don't. The fact is they cannot be an intelligent life form.

    • Neither is a fetus.

  • Sperm had a sense of smell? Whaaaaat that’s pretty insane tbh

    • Actually I googled it and researchers now are saying that they don’t even tho they used to think sperm did have a sense of smell.

    • There was one study that denied, then it was “redefined”. But essentially spermatozoa do have receptors “not unlike smell” that allows them to find eggs.

    • Good on you for not taking my word though. Science is an open book with just as many updates as iOS.

  • It's just a popularity contest as far as I can see.

  • Because sperm is not being considered as living creature, but fetus is.

    • where is this said?

  • Sperm are your friends

  • I’d say because men can produce millions of sperm cells in a day whereas women only have a certain number of eggs. Silly and demand.

    • Life is based on how much is produced in a day.., interesting.

  • Because it is not a sovereign human being which has its own unique DNA (It has mine) and will have brain waves and a heartbeat in the future. A sperm cell will never be viable and has a short life span, just like eggs expelled in menstruation.

    • oh so life is only judged by life span? It can smell, it could have sentience. And you masturbate it out like a serial killer.
