The purpose of this post is not to imply that bisexuality doesn't exist. It's to clear up a few misconceptions surrounding the popular notion that "most women are bisexual". This phenomenon started around the year 2000, well after my formative years, so I've always been suspect of it.
First of all, it is important to note that according to US Government statistics, only 0.7% of all adults identify as bisexual. This percentage goes up (a little) when it comes to Caucasian women 18-30, especially in progressive areas, college campuses, and those who work in the sex industry (porn and strippers). But that's cultural influence, not biology.
Also, the influence of porn is quite substantial. Couple that with the entertainment industry's use of it as a money-making tool, both these things have normalized this phenomenon to the point of it actually being ingrained into our culture.
Also, many women think this what men want. However, it is such a psychologically lazy way to garner male attention in order stand out in the dating pool. Perhaps they feel they have nothing else to offer, so they play this up.
Let's get into the 'studies'. The studies are done by horny old men, very small sample sizes, and tons of selection bias / confirmation bias. They show nothing other than women being aroused by the act alone. It does not show them being sexually attracted to the participants of that act. Otherwise, they would be chimpanzee-sexual as well, since they show arousal by chimp sex, too. 'Nuff said.
There are guys who obsess about this daily. Some are excited at the thought of all women being bi, others are very insecure in their manhood, and worry about the opposite sex finding them attractive.They watch too much tv, and too much porn, and don't get out and socialize with actual women.
The internet is generally a liberal and progressive place, especially sites such as this one -- plus we skew younger. And bisexuals generally flock more to the sex topics.
In reality, women are hardwired to be sexually attracted to masculine features and attributes, so the idea of most (or a good percentage) of women being bi falls on its face. Many young women (especially the hypersexual ones) are brainwashed by the popular culture to think they are bi, and that it's even the "default".
Are there bisexual women? Yes. But it's not most, and it's not even a high percentage. The cultural factors I just mentioned shape our perception of reality.

O an asker, the women where aroused by a naked women (no sexual act) in chivers' study (a women, not a horny old man). so not the act alone. And about the monkeys The response to monkeys was the lowest measurable amount, about 200 fold less arousing to lesbian porn to women. Even the control of snow falling got an arousal rating so... what is more accurate to say? We are aroused by everything? Or the lower levels on the graph aren't actually arousal? I wouldn't say MOST women are bisexual but a lot of them are. Because it's much more acceptable in society for women to be fluid with their sexuality than it is for men. Then of course there are the attention seeking straight girls who throw the word bisexual around every time they get drunk and make out with a friend in the club, so you have to factor those out

It's the wrong conclusion from a study done in the 1950s that found women were more likely to experiment with their own sex than men. But the study was about attraction - and focussed on kissing as their main benchmark.
Hetero guys will very rarely kiss another guy. Whereas (as you will see in pretty much any night club on a Friday or Saturday night) women don't mind a bit of tongue tennis with their girl friends.

You would think that, but then straight women wouldn't watch or be turned on by lesbian porn. Women are beautiful, but two women together doesn't provide a straight woman an masculine features she's supposedly attracted too and you'd think the opposite of that would be unappealing visually. And a turn off with women having sex. And many men might have fantasized about women being bisexual, but I think it changed and a lot of guys posting about it on GAG don't like it. They liked it when it seemed like a few women were. But when most women seem that way I think it taps into some men's insecurity. That would mean men are just a favored preference than everything, while women are everything sexually for the majority of men. Meaning if men are without women, they aren't doing well, whereas, women without men, they might not prefer women, but nothing is holding them back from having with each other since they aren't repulsed sexually to each other and would not stop them from haviing sex. The visual I believe are the big breaker for doing same sex stuff. If you don't find the same sex attractive, definitely not sexually attractive and your eyes give you all the information you need for that. You won't every want to or be able to do any experimenting.

But the chimpanzee sex women were aroused by is what was read as far as their body reacting to porn with a device and arousal via wetness. Whereas women watching lesbian porn and turned on by it is what they choose to watch and mentally turned on by to go with the physical arousal t it. There's a difference. Ok, I hear women say women are less visual and why it's the sex they pay attention to, but I'd think the visuals matter to which is why I point to sexual orientation. I'm not going to say a woman is bisexual like some have in the sense it means they are bi sexual in how people take it. So you would watch straight sex for porn with a guy that looks like facially and body of comedian Louie Anderson and an almost morbidly obese, ugly woman. The sex and passion might be good, but I wouldn't be able to watch it or very brief to see or care that it's good sex. It wouldn't matter. You'd watch that?

@SarahsSummer you're 'insight" is convoluted and not really logical. You wouldn;t watch what I explained because of said bodies despite the sex. If you're straight you shouldn't be finding women sexually attractive and it should be an eye sore like the straight couple sex I just explained. But not only are such women not bothered by it, they prefer and like lesbian porn, despite the aesthetics on the screen, which I would think if 100% straight would or should be arousal "blockers", not accelerators, Gay men don't want to see pusssy up and close on the screen and a woman's face licking it,, even though there are gay men who can find women objectively beautiful, Even if you're enjoyment is not about the bodies and it's about the sex, I don't know how you ignore said bodies on the screen when it's right there in your face. The reason for those assumptions is the fact many girls get turned on by girl on girl action in porn, and also don't have a problem making out with a girl friend (which happens quite often). While straight men are all disgusted by the very idea of two gays being together.
