Why virginity and sexual experince is such a big deal to guys?

Not long ago I found out about this guy ( on this site actually) who was the first indian citizen to ever summit Everest from its north side. He was just 28 and already had lots of certificates and diplomas even though he came from a poor family and wanted to help them financially. He died on his way down even though being one of the best climbers in India ( again, at only 28). And a lot of people seems to be concerned on internet that his family said he was very shy and never had a girlfriend. Very quiet and polite.
I felt so bad for reading this. Why would it matter? He made history in the 90s, when Everest climbing was still a very big deal. Who cares if he died a virgin. And Maybe didn't even die as a virgin but never told anyone about his private life... if he was so quiet. His name was Tsewang Parjol. In my opinion he was handsome. Maybe just not interested in marriage and dating (as he mentioned once). What do you think about his case or in generally?

The photo is from the internet. So I dont think its disrespectful to put it here.

  • I don’t think the issue is about his virginity but about his single status and do not have his own partner. Most of the Asian country do expect their children already married during that time and have babies (yes, not 1 baby). Thats why when the “internet concerns of his family” is not about his lack of girlfriend but the lack of family heir. That age its quite common where male is expected married and settle down. If it were female, it might be worst if they not married by that age and can be seem as expired date.

    • Yeah. I looked at his photos and I thought he looked very handsome, plus financially stable. I found it hard to believe it was difficult for him to find someone to sleep with. But if he was that shy...
