Women are looked at as pure and innocent in our society so there's more pressure on them to act that way whether most naturally are like that not. Virginity and purity are social constructs and other times were rooted in religion.
This double standard issue, we've been doing this for awhile just less severely as time went on. See if you can find a pattern here.
In America it used to be women who were seen in a bar were automatically arrested for prostitution while the guys wouldn't get in trouble. Some time later girls were allowed in bars.
Also since premarital sex was illegal, if a girl got pregnant before marriage she was arrested while the guy got off with nothing. Eventually girls weren't arrested for having premarital sex.
Fast forward closer to our time and there is a period where girls were arrested for wearing shorts that showed skin a few inches up from the knee. Girls that wore shorts were seen as slutty and rebellious. Eventually it became normal.
In hindsight we realize that was unfair treatment with not a lot of logic.
Now back to our time...
men who have sex with a lot of girls or who hook with them quickly are seen as making an accomplishment, which it is because he has obstacles to overcome, you actually have to work to convince a girl to have sex. It isn't looked at as morally wrong.
When a girl hooks up with a lot of guys or just hooks up quickly isn't seen as an accomplishment, which it isn't because she didn't have to overcome any obstacles to have sex with the men. However it IS seen as morally wrong while a guy having a lot of sex isn't.
There's no logic behind it. If she isn't ruining other people's relationships or manipulating people she's not doing anything wrong. It's no different then when a guy does it except it's not an accomplishment. That's the only difference.
What we did to women with arresting them for going to a bar, having premarital sex, and wearing shorts, we know now it was wrong. Here's the kicker, we're doing it again, this time with slut shaming. It's the same thing except it's our times version of it.
This only applies to the people who don't think it's okay when a guy has a lot of partners but not when a girl does it. When I ask them to logically explain why it's wrong for a girl to do it but it's somehow okay for a guy to, they can't explain it.
This is take is the only logical explaination for this.
People who think it's wrong for both sexes to sleep around this take isn't about you.

Agreed.!! But I personally don't see it as an accomplishment... I see guys as being desperate to prove something that doesn't need to be proved. Currently it's except-able in our society for a man to be easy & desperate but not a women, being willing it sleep with whatever comes your way isn't an accomplishment for anyone. Guys see it as a test of manhood to be able to convince a girl to act against her own self interests and they take it as a win to their manhood, their so great cause they do this but those self interests are nothing but a societal construct in today's world of modern medicine and knocking down someone (even in a social construct in order to find your own value) is wrong FYI. So because guys are easy & desperate for sex... women can't be, so that men can see it as an accomplishment? I mean guys can't base their masculinity on their sex drive if every man can have sex, so it's up to us women (who this doesn't effect in any positive way) we must make it harder. That's dumb & putting a far greater burden on the other gender to up keep this silly game. Anyone who wants to have sex willy nilly should be bale to if they can find someone willing to do the same.
Wise words: strongly agree with them. It happened two or three times that I was talking to women and someone else asked me to "go for it". Look guy, if I'm talking to this women it means nothing, NOTHING! I just want to talk to people! I have as much sex as I want, and I don't see a pussy in everyone's face.
It's not "wrong." But the reality is that guys care a lot more about the sexual histories and behaviors of their partners than girls do. That's just reality. In the same way as women care a lot more about the height and shoulder width of their sexual partners than men do. Or women care more about the educational level or career prospects or wealth of their partners than men do. These are just reflections of taste and preference. They're ALSO the reason it' can be more "costly" for a girl to be slutty than it is for a guy. In fact, for a guy being "successfully slutty" can be a signal of value to some (not all) women who actually become MORE interested in having sex with him when they find out that lots of other girls have and loved it. Guys care less about this as a group. If they find a girl hot they want to fuck her. If they don't find her hot it doesn't matter how many other guys do, for the most part guys care less about this "social proofing."

I have never seen this double standard perpetuated anywhere. I have never seen any case being drawn up on any social media nor on any news outlet in the case of celebrities or anything.

Why do people say men are not looked down upon when they have lots of sex?
That's not true like... at all... Besides their male friends everyone else in the world will look down on them. Many girls will not date a guy who has slept with a lot of girls.
How often do girls praise their girlfriends for sleeping with random guys? It's looked at as a bad thing from both sexes when girls do it and it can be seen as unnattractive only from 1 sex when a guy does it.
You do realise that men and women look at sex differently. Women often than not form a much stronger emotional/mental connection with sex and often do it with guys they want relationship with even though they won't admit to it. This is why we see so many friends with benefits from female asking how they can turn their current stance into a relationship. friends with benefits is the female version of the friendzone.
While men are less emotional attach to sex. A guy who sleeps with lots of women can more readily still end up being monogamous in the end for a woman he wants to commit towards. While it's been shown even in studies that a woman cannot do this due to the diminished ability to pair bond. Also women who often sleep around tend to having underlying issues as their is no fulfilment a woman gets from sleeping around. The genders have different sexual strategies.
Women want to find the best genes and mate to commit to her. They look for quality.
Men want to spread their genes far about to improve the survival of his genes.
Hence why men can have more children than women potentially.
No wonder women have troubling getting off to casual sex and men don't.
Can you link these studies that show girls who sleep around can't stay loyal to one partner?
Having many sex partners does not diminish a woman's ability to fall in love and commit to someone. Maybe you are confusing it with someone who does have underlying issues that leads them to both sleeping around and having trouble maintaining a healthy relationship.
