Earlier, according to multiple reports, there have been many significant differences in the reasons why men and women cheat on their respective partners, with men cheating for more sexual pleasures or due to situational factors like being drunk and women cheating more because of a relationship (lack of love for the partner) or physical dissatisfaction.
Still on the fence about this. Sometimes I think it might be true, and then other times I think men have more, but I really don't know. I think maybe a lot of times it seems like women have more? Probably because we're always talking about it as a society, especially insecure guys and all their ideas about the "top 10% of men." Although at the same time, women are bragging about how easily they can get sex because they're women, and a lot of women are playing with multiple guys and trying to keep that unknown to them. But then women hate hearing that they can have more sex if it makes them look bad, but will still love to use it if it can make them look powerful or desirable.
At the same time though there are a ton of guys who are playing with multiple chicks too, and dudes who are cheating on their own girlfriends and wives. And I've known a lot of guys who have had no problem telling me about it. I think the fact that you can already be in a relationship and still cheat on your woman says that it's not too hard for a guy to have more sex partners.
So I really don't know.
I'm not sure that women, generally, have more partners than men. My speculation is that women have on average X, while a minority of men have 3X, while a majority of men have a 1/2X, which even outs to men having slightly higher number than women (when surveyed).
Women have biological and emotional constraints to the number of people they have sex with, while men do not, but we each have social pressures that promote us to have as much sex as we can get; however, it's only men that are limited since women are ones who say whether or not sex can actually happen.

Multi partners is a disappointment. I wasn’t expecting the question to be a let down about cheating. But a more interesting topic that woman might have higher numbers, by choice.
As it has been said many times the girl is the gatekeeper to the pussy and that makes it much easier for the girl to have sex about anytime she pleases, where the guy has to search for a willing subject that will let him put his penis in her.

Because they can. If an average looking guy goes into a bar there might be a 1 in ten chance he will leave with somebody. A woman does the same thing and the odds jump to 9 in ten.
It's just easier for women to have sex. They are being actively pursued by a greater number of people and they have a wider age range of potentially interested people than men their age.
