Most guys would chose sex over a video game unless he's using it as an excuse. Perhaps if the sex is always at the same time of day, in same place, in same position, etc., it's not as exciting as it was when it was new. Try different things, for example some toys from a sex shop, role playing, sex games, or watching porn for inspiration. Think about having sex in different locations such as in the shower, kitchen, outdoors, watching TV, in a vehicle, etc. Try tying him up and having your way with him and vice versa. If you have a bush, shave it or trim it. If you usually have intercourse, give him a hand job or blowjob. Swallow his cum if you don't usually do that provided you're both okay with it. Invite him to eat you to orgasm. Be open with what you want him to do. If he still isn't interested it could be he is cheating, masturbating a lot, needs counselling, or has a medical issue.

A couple of mostly non-exclusive reasons:
-He could be deeply involved in something and the "not now" actually is "not now" rather than "no". Most video games aren't the mindless distractions they're thought of as; they can be as well-written and compelling as any book or movie.
-He could be tired, or sore, or feeling lousy, or otherwise just not in the mood.
-He could be mentally worn down and not feeling up to it in that way, either.
-He could be playing with other people, and not want to miss out on the social side.

There are more, but I think you get the idea. Now if this keeps happening between them, it's suggestive of more deep-rooted problems, but as a one-off, it's probably just that.

My opinion on this... and I do in fact play video games... is that men who can't stop playing a damn game to be intimate with their wife, girlfriend or partner, need to get out of the damn house. Like I can understand getting to a stopping point. That's fair. But I have had friends that tell me they prance around in sexy lingerie, bend over, tease their guy and whatever else and they end up falling asleep because their man can't stop what they are doing to go get real pleasure from a real woman. Pause a game... finish a mission but then stop if its a multi-player game... you can always go back later but damn you have a woman trying to ask you to come play with her and a game is more interesting? Grrrrr I just don't get it. This guy doesn't understand it for sure.

While sex is not always important but when your partner has urge then you should give your partner the first attention instead of four unknown player in the virtual world.

If it is just once that happened then I would say may be he has money involved in it but if he does quite often then he is not for you.

I'd probably stop playing anytime if my wife wanted sex, but I can see why some guys would choose to play over sex.
Maybe they've been fucking a lot and he just wants to chill a bit ^^ Or maybe it's an exhausting day and sex is more demanding than a video game. Could also be it's raid night, which you plan like a week in advance. I mean in the latter case it might just be a game, but you've still got anywhere between 10-40 people depending on you. Sex can wait, surely.

You gotta look at video games as an activity and a hobby, and if you do that activity with other people, those people will sometimes depend on you to make that activity work, or the activity will fall apart. Though, if he's putting games before his wife all the time, and games isn't his "second job" if you will (for a few it literally is), then that's obviously a problem.
