Why would a guy lie about being a virgin?

I have a friend who claimed to be a virgin before he got married. Church had him all messed up and it took me years to convince him that penetration means he has lost his virginity. He had the belief that as long as he didn't orgasm in a vagina he was still a virgin and anal didn't count at all.

Long story short, some people lie to themselves if their actions have gone against their belief systems. Sadly Christians do this on a regular basis.

And if that isn't the issue isn't religion, some guys will lie about their experience level to make a girl think they haven't done it yet so the girl thinks she is doing something special for him and justify the reason for having sex.

If he lies and says he isn’t a virgin, it’s because he’s afraid you’ll think less of him for having no experience.

You wouldn't believe how weird so many women get about finding out a guy is a virgin. Any guy who has dealt with women knows that the smallest things cause women to say "no." He's just trying to avoid giving you a reason to turn him down.

Guys are expected to have lots of sex. I used to have other guys make fun of me because I was still a virgin into my 20s. I guess if you were the type of guy who gave a crap what other people think you might lie about it.
