I read this and just got upset.
Why would you lie about being raped?
It's harmful to people who actually have been assaulted, because once you've been exposed mindless assholes will say "everybody who has been raped is lying".
It's harmful on the people who have been accused of it. This man couldn't sleep and he was afraid to work. He lost a lot of weight. (what is a stone?)

15 39Many women do that. Especially tourists going abroad. They get drunk, fucks with a random guy from that country. Going all bitch afterwards, suing the guy saying they got raped eventhough it was them who jumped all over the guy. It can be cuz she regrets it or it can be cuz of the money she will get after suing him.
Women lie about being rape because women crave attention. Many women don't care at what expense that comes at.

Because some people are selfish and inconsiderate and don't even take the possible consequences into account, or they simply don't care.
Humanity can be messed up. And with that I don't only mean the liars, but the society who will believe her and put shame on the poor victim.
I see these type of women who wrongly accuse men of raping them as a perfect a patient who should be put in a MEANTAL HOSPITAl for the rest of there life...

He was saved because of his phone recording... But what if he didn't have anything to prove him innocent? He would have been jailed for nothing! His life would have between destroyed...
This is why I think when a women cries rape the person being accused should not be jailed or put in cell until and unless she had a 100 % proof that the rape really happened... The person being accused should not be jailed entirely based on the women crying rape! What is the proof that he had really raped her?

And she is jailed for only 1year 4 months.. Which is quite low... She should have Been jailed for like 4-5 years... At least...
I am just thinking how many men are actually in jail because they couldn't prove that they didn't really take anyone... Very sad and it's all the fault of the justice system...
How do you suggest that rape victims get proof? 1. Rape is a crime that almost never leaves witnesses. 2. Most victims don't report right away, which destroys all evidence that a rape kit would collect (and even if they did a rape kit, the attacker could easily claim that the sex was consensual). Most are so traumatized and ashamed that they can't bring themselves to face the authorities right away. And it's partially because of guys like you, who won't take them seriously. Rape claims do need to be handled better, but it's more complicated than simply demanding more evidence.
@snowangle I know but just because resort cases are more complicated it didn't mean innocent men should go to jail

@snowangle Your points are valid, but they are an unfortunate necessarity of the very foundation that our legal system as well as our democracy is built on. Innocent until proven guilty. If that wasn't the case you would go straight back into a dictatorship where people who are unpleasant get into jail without due process. You should read Voltaires take on the matter to further understand. And yes, it is harmful for the individual victim, but its an necessary evil to keep our society running.
@snowangle We need to eliminate some of the shame that victims have going forward initially so we are able to get the evidence.
There's different reasons. I hope I never end up on the bad end of being raped or being accused of raping.

It is so bad. When people look for this kind of attention it is VERY harmful in general. I think there should be WAYYYY stiffer punishment for especially repeat offenders in this area and rehab programs immediately for first timers. It's a shame for everyone involved in such darkness...
