If you have a chair with arms, sit with your butt at the very front edge of the chair, with your legs up on the arms (knees bent and spread wide) and you should have no problems taking a good pic.

Well, you want it to look perfect, right? It's always hard to get a perfect pic.
I do a bit of photography and even when shooting a beautiful model, you really only get a few great pics out of a hundred pictures. Keep trying and you'll learn a little with each picture about what works and what doesn't. Google is your friend. Look at other pictures and find something you like and copy that. Posing and lighting will make all the difference.
