it is all in the lighting. It has to illuminate from multiple angles. You need a proper attitude as well. Take some time to get yourself in the mood. Remember that the camera is your friend.
Did you try putting the camera between your legs?
How about using a mirror?
Otherwise, have a friend or relative over to take a few snaps of it. Is mom or dad any good at using a camera? Or, train the dog to use the camera.

Let's assume you will be on a chair. Put some light on the chair.
Put your phone or camera further away from the chair, further than a selfie.
Put a book (or?) on the chair and zoom, and check your aim. Adjust till well-framed.
Remove book, set the self timer, move your v to where the book was. Click. Done. Send. Drool!
