Women should not push for their sex life to be celebrated by society

It's a cute wish, but that is never going to happen, ladies. Enjoy all the sex you want, but don't try to roleplay a Sex In The City character with the intent of gaining social value. No matter how much you rant and rave, or how many "slut walks" you take part in, and call anyone that points it out raging misogynists, it will never catch on, while human DNA remains intact. It's not a matter of opinion. It's a simple matter of biology and culture. Asking the world to place value on your private sex life is like asking the greater youtube audience to stop watching pewdypie, smosh and the annoying orange, and to instead watch science and politics videos of substance. Not going to happen. People want to be entertained, and they will duly respond to what achieves that.

Women should not push for their sex life to be celebrated by society
Why no cosplay?

Let's consider these biological clauses:

  1. Sperm is cheap and there will always be a guy around willing to give it to you, for free
  2. Women are sexually attracted, on equal terms, only to a tiny minority of men
  3. 1 and 2 are not going to change, any time soon

Player studs are celebrated because they have to be exceptional to achieve what they are, while a woman finding a sex partner is akin to going to the bathroom. Rarity begets value, and the powerful "punching down" is never seen favorably by society (at least not outside of fascism). It's the same principle that applies to minorities' racial pride and gay pride. Men celebrate players by coveting their dating and mating options that most men will never have, and women celebrate them by lusting after them and sleeping with them. Trust me, nobody is going to celebreate average males that only get laid in civilian sex in their LTR, either. Anyone that attempts it is going to be branded a lamer by the greater audience. Women wanting their "I usually don't do this" casual romps celebrated is like a fat king wanting his food portions celebrated in front of starving peasants. Stop it, and save everyone the conflict, including yourselves.

Other than in the case of porn stars (and by stars I mean stars, not actresses), the only people that are going to pretend to celebrate women's casual romps are guys that think they could get with them, if only society didn't judge their "sluttiness". Those men should be aware of clause #2. Even "sluts" have high standards, outside of cartoony stereotypes.

She's talking to a player, not to you.

It's not about judgment. Even as purely a matter of practicality towards getting laid (if that's all men care about), men are not going to get more options simply by white knighting the principle of "sluttiness", so guys should also get a clue.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • i disagree with you, women should not be shamed for having casual sex. these double standards are wrong and people like you are the problem. A guy can have sex and be a stud but a woman she is a slut, this is total bullshit. If I as a guy can have as much sex as I want, then a woman should be able to do so without being shamed. women are not innocent children, they are adults like us

    • First time the word "ashamed" was mentioned: your comment. Thanks for not reading the take.

    • I did, and you were advocating for slut shaming and agreed with the double standards, i disagree

  • It's funny people always say slut have low standards, but they actually have higher standards. The may be giving the guy easy sex but they are giving it to guy who she sees as being REALLY HOT. For looks, girls trade up when having casual sex. They trade down on looks in marriage but only if the guys makes more money. So yeah, sluts are easy, but only for certain guys.

I always hear people say that if slut-shaming didn't exist that women would be less picky and hookup with guys who they normally wouldn't hookup with. Maybe they would open their horizons a little bit, but I still think they'd have much higher standards for casual sex than men do. They prioritize good genes (physical appearance) for short term mating and security for long term. I don't think the elimination of slut shaming would change much.

  • Here's the thing though. Sure women have access to sex easily, but we as men have access to friends of the opposite gender more so than women do too. It's hard for a woman to get a true male friend, because a lot of men want to just fuck. It's easy for us to get a female friend because a lot of females for

    1) Aren't trying to out-compete us. See when a man's in a high position the next man under him wants his spot. Women would rather help the guy stay at his high position. To "assist" him.

    2) Naturally are care takers. They naturally feel the need to care and again "assist".

Also you don't have to be a stud to befriend most females. Just like most females don't have to be super hot to get laid.

There's a balance that guys like you completely miss.

    • This is also why players can play. This gives players their "power". Without women having the desire to want relationships/friendships these players couldn't trick them for just sex.

    • None of that refutes what was said in the take, and your implication that it was said that average men 'can't get laid' is a total fabrication. And I'm am befuddled as to what getting friendzoned has to do with women's sex lives, or sex life, in general.

    • It relates, but I guess I didn't understand the point of the take... which was what exactly?
